After a minor crash when a servo froze up on me during a flight. I had to replace the main gear. I had to order the parts from Newcastle, U.K Heliguy.com they have a physical shop in Newcastle and after reading the reviews I felt comfortable ordering from them and everything sent smooth, great shipping rate. Just have to find a better brand of servo to replace the stock ones with then I am done

well i thought it was the hun hunter version i was getting but its the wicked wabbit version i got anyways both are at the museum. the build was pretty easy and everything went into place, hopefully my schedule will allow me to due the maiden flight in the morning . the plane looks pretty good but their are some spots where the stickers are kinda messed up but not a real big deal maybe just a fix for latter.

I'll post some pics when done and get some pics of it beside the real Hun Hunter at The Tennessee Museum of Aviation.

i got a 2 min. flight in tonight with the hawk sky with the new BP2212-6 and suppo SP-30a ESC, the ESC was warm after the flight but another hobbyist said their notorious for that and he has a few of them that get warm but no problems. I was hopping for more speed from the motor but i did have the prop facing the wrong way, so hopefully next time it will be faster. the motor held excellent and the wood piece worked good.

got the hawk sky all set up and ready to go. I've checked everything twice and rechecked again just in case and everything is good to go. I would do the maiden today but it is too windy here in east tennessee so I am going to work on my edge 540 foamy and hopefully get everything glued together. hope everyone has a good day.

i finally got my motor on the hawk sky. i just drilled new holes, so i could screw the x mount to the plastic pod. I lost the the plastic holder that went down into the body of the fuselage. I originally got some wood pieces to mount the x mount then mount the hole thing to the pod with glue and some screws but since i didn't use the wood pieces for that u cut a hole out of the wood piece then screwed the motor pod into that then I'm gonna put screws into that and glue it to be extra secure and hopefully i can maiden it tomorrow. will post some picks later

i got all my stuff to upgrade my hawk sky. I got a bp 2212-6 brushless motor and a 30a/3a bec suppo esc. i have everything soldered and now trying to get the motor mounted to the stock pod that came with the hawk sky. after i programed the esc i ran the motor for a couple of sec. the 2212-6 from BP hobbies has alot of power, hopefully i can get 60mph with this set
