3/16 or 1/4 starting thickness. No risk of the covering warping the material, so I stuck it down with medium heat. -

With about 1/16" thickness, the balsa finally sees a slight warp. I just did a DLG tail of this thickness and had lots of warping issues from covering thin balsa. -
