The Depron Powered R4 DLG is moving forward .

Wing post and nose cone are done .
I just need to use some laminating film on the nose cone for a final weight .

Then I can move the wing post ( slides on the carbon boom ' at the moment ' ( ATM ) for CG .
So some ironing , and then some gluing . And the R4 should be cooking !

2nd 450x wing is in limbo right now as the 1103 motor did not work ...
So more waiting for a refund and the purchase of a new motor .

Disappointed that some hyperstall/microstall tendencies persisted in the B-Wing mk.2, I was about ready to hack off the leading edge of the wing to give it a sharper profile. In fact, I even ran some quick CFD tests of different leading edge designs to see if my extra-round leading edge was causing premature flow separation or other problems.

While those simulations were running I decided to go out to my secret test location and run a few other scenarios with the Mk.2 to see if I could reduce the microstalling further.

First Flight: removed the AA battery that was taped on for nose weight (24 grams). Hyperstalling immediately exaggerated and a new 'diving' or 'tucking' tendency arose making it impossible to fly straight and level

Second Flight: added back the AA battery and added a second battery (total 48 grams) for nose weight. Microstalling 99% eliminated! No more tucking and no more bobbing in regular turns (only in very hard, high-g loaded maneuvers which is somewhat expected)

So for now, I suppose that ends the B-Wing microstalling/hyperstalling mystery... sort of. By changing from a KFm-2 Airfoil to a KFm-4 I saw a large improvement in flight performance. And then by dialing in the CG I was able to eliminate 99% of the remaining issues. The aircraft still doesn't fly perfectly, but that is something that can be tuned in over time (I can live with this considering it has been over 3 years since I built a plane!).

Next Step: Get my FPV pod v2 finished up and go for an FPV maiden

Ballade en Fort, CINE"CAN" DO IT ! lol ... Voici un test que certains attendaient, le CINECAN, un des derniers Whoop HD de chez Eachine. Un peu du au dpart cause du lger jello en plein soleil (pas en indoor), puis j'ai dcouvert le filtre ND8 qui est fourni et qui rduit considrablement ce problme. Des images trs exploitables, un appareil costaud et pas trop mal rgl en sortie de boite, au final un petit engin bien cool toujours prt filmer quelques cinmatiques dans des espaces exigus . En bref, je valide car pour 150 (avec coupon), si on retire le prix de la Caddx Tarsier (75) , Eachine nous propose encore un appareil un prix dfiant toute concurrence ! Bon vol et bon film tous ...

I just had the worst FPV experience ever, and it was my first time out FPV'ing for real.

Situation was:

Emax TinyHawk Freestyle

FLI14+ FlySky RX w/ telem & FlySky Dark Knight NV Nirvana TX
Luminere Micro AXII (RHCP)
FXT Viper 2.0 Goggles
Aomway ANT009 Diamond Directional and a Pagoda RHCP

I could not get more than 20 feet away without loosing signal all the way (mostly)

ends up this was the issue/s:

Had the +in going to the OEM EMAX VTX input pin 5v. ( really lower than the 7v min input req.)
It was in PIT mode.. ( learn how to exit out of PIT mode for your particular VTX)

Once I put the +v input wire onto the + lipo pad and got it our of PIT mode the image quality was awesome and I could actually fly it FPV.

Make sure to identify if you are in PIT mode , and do not assume your VTX runs on 5V

Other than that, buy a Freestyle and 20 batteries and have a blast, and email your fav battery charger mfgr's and ask for a 10 pack capable 2S 1AMP 10-port active charger with a wide range DC input. and within 2-3 months we should be able to buy that unicorn charger :-)

In 1080p 60fps - This is a performance flight of my Eflite F-16 Falcon 64mm EDF Jet BNF Basic.

Powered by a Pulse 4S 2250mAh 45C, weighing in at 240 grams and set as far aft as possible. The CG was measured at 83mm from the leading edge of the main wing (from the manual addendum's recommended CG range of 75-85mm). Flight Timer was set to 3:40 minutes. Flown with a Spektrum DX8 G2 Transmitter.

This is a jet that I was initially reluctant to get, just because of the trim scheme / livery. However, the F-16's unique flight characteristics and personality in the air has justifiably won me over. Compared to the Eflite and FMS F-15 Eagle 64mm EDF Jets, the Eflite F-16 Falcon 64mm EDF Jet demands more in pilot proficiency. In flight, the F-16 feels less stable but is definitely more agile. Be mindful of airspeed on final approach for landings, and bleed off as much airspeed as you can during your final flare.. Otherwise, you may find yourself back in the air for a go-around. Also watch out for crosswind approaches and avoid them if possible. Lastly, the narrow stance of the wheels makes ground handling and taxiing in an "appropriate" speed, a skill in itself.. beware of making quick steering movements after touchdown and during taxiing back to the hangar.

Is it less stable, yes. Is it more agile, yes. Does it require more skill out of the pilot, absolutely.
