Being a beginner rider, this bike stole my heart. It beat the SV650 as my all time favorite bike. I think this is because, unlike price-conscious bikes like the SV650 and Shadow 750, the Honda Stateline was designed with gobs of [I]passion[/B]. It's one of the gems in the bike world. It can fit short-ish and large riders.
Just don't say that out loud, about the passion. You might miss out on a lot of great smaller cc bikes or pee off those who are speedier racers than you (I'm talking to you, Bunny)
The Stateline unfairly gained a 1-up, having a higher price limit. This allows designers and engineers some wiggle room to show off. It's also an evolution of the previous model VTX1300 line. That's okay with me, life not being fair is a 'positive' in the case of the VT1300 line. I usually wouldn't buy a $10,000+ usd bike. But God gave us the used market
oh and it was $40/mo less than the SV--so-no-brainer! 
With a long low look, radiator neatly nestled into the cradle frame, big phat tires, stretched rake, and stretched stylized tank that doesn't make you open your legs to ride, this bike whispers 'mmmmmmmmmm yahhh mmmmmmm'. Anyone who enjoys motorsports can stare into the engine and daydream for 5 minutes. They really should, it soithes the soul.
I've seen it, myself not included but including certain family members and passerbys. Just stop, maybe even stop breathing, and stare. "Mmmmmmmmmm."

The last 3 times out on the hill {this fall/winter} my hands have gotten pretty cold .
I thought it is about time to do something about the cold as the temps have only been in the low 30's and it gets a lot colder than that here once winter really sets in .
This is the Turnigy transmitter glove ,I had gotten it for Christmas a while ago and had not really given it a try .
I have to say it worked pretty good as long as I could launch with my left and have my right hand in the glove on the stick.
I did fumble a bit getting the left one in, besides the transmitter neck strap i think it needs a attachment point in the middle {on my stomach } to hold it square to my body .
I am also considering adding a Zippo hand /pocket warmer to the glove
I will say that my hands did not get cod / hurting this time out

I got this kit from BH, the kit version for $159 plus tax (free shipping) and got at at my front door tow days later

The kit is lightweight styrofoam and made in China by Lanxiang.
I ordered the Su-47 Berkut previously (as a kit as well) so I'm well aware of all the modifications that will be needed to turn it into a flyable (and enjoyable) model.

A true 4ch Micro ... ( 1s ) with stability .
A) Protocol (?)
Yeah , no idea folks . I ran thru all the protocols available on the Jumper T12 Tx and no bind . This is a shame as I think a Hobby Grade Tx just might do wonders for such a small plane .
B) Transmitter
Not complete rubbish , the Tx does seem to offer better than the usual fare of control .
C) The Plane ( Boss )
Not bad , comes fully assembled except for the landing gear which needs to be plugged in ( easy ) . Only issue was that things ( landing gear ) was not very straight . Even the tail wheel was pointed somewhere other than straight . ( Not the end of the world ) But a little bit of straightening was needed as well as a little glue . I took the Cub out in the back yard less battery and gave it a chuck ! I was simply amazed by how well it glides . Without battery CG looks to be about 40% back from the LE . Speaking of batteries , I should have some to play with in my collection .
It's a little breezy right now , but hopefully the wind will ease off for the evening . ( I hope ) So might be able to get in a flight ?

C) It will fly slow , really slow .
