Here is my unboxing and review of the UMX Beast 3D. It isn't your typical unboxing and review, but then again you probably shouldn't expect anything typical from me anyhow:

Beast 3D Review Notes

Pros:

- A very attractive plane!
- It comes with a Spektrum receiver
- Is compatible with other UMX battery options
- Solid customer service to remedy the situation

Cons:

- Poorly assembled
- F-Grade QC
- Very disappointing to have two bad ones in a row
- Required me to print out the return label and my account
was only credited AFTER it was received on-site

I was crazy enough to take up my new Corsair in the wind yesterday. It was swirling in the 8-15ish range, but I needed a new video with it before it dies in the hanger (It rolled off my bed when I was training a client the other night and it got some hanger rash). How that happened, I have no idea, but it did and made me want to get a number of flights on it before something breaks on it with only two flights.

Moving onto yesterday, I did some take-offs and landings in wet, thick, muddish grass. I did 4-5 take-offs and all worked well on stock landing gear! The landings didn't go quite as well, but oddly enough, I stuck the first one perfectly.

This is a video testing out my new Sony HDR CX290 Handycam camcorder. The video subject is the E-flite Blade MCX2 Ultra Micro Helicopter flying around my bedroom. My prior videos have been recorded using my iPhone 4S. Due to it not having a zoom and limited space without the ability to upgrade it, I decided to get this camcorder that was on sale for $199. It will come in handy for things like the Abbotsford Airshow and capturing my RC flight adventures outside since it seems like that iPhone does a little bit better indoor in lower light.

This a wonderful little helicopters for beginners from Horizone Hobby. Since it is an RC micro helicopter, it is perfect for learning indoors.

I am flying this E-Flite Blade BNF MCX2 RC Heli with the same controller that came with my Hobbyzone Champ. It is powered by a Nano-Tech 160 mah lipo battery.

This is an emergency landing of a fuel powered RC Plane caught on video. The engine cut out during some high G-force maneuvers. This Fuel RC plane is a great flyer, but it had a few issues that lead to some dramatic footage.

This video contains footage of my flying buddies trying to get an RC quadcopter or quad out of a tree after a crash landing during FPV Flight or First Person View flight. I wish I would have caught the actual quadcopter crash or quad crash on video, but I am not that lucky lol

This is my buddy's DJI F450 Quadcopter doing stunts, flips, and tricks. It is short, but pretty impressive skill is demonstrated in this video.

This is a really nice flying plane in the wind. A really nice man at the local flying field allowed me to video his flight in some pretty decent wind.
