Except for one blizzard, it really was a mild winter for flying here in NE PA USA. I've been getting out once or twice a week steadily, but not at the club field because it is not maintained over the winter and tends to get swampy. I've been limited to parks. There are 3 close by that are perfect for UMX and park flyers, but the big guys have been in storage. The ground was still a little soft Wednesday, but good enough to walk on without getting water in your shoes or even sinking down. I was so excited to fly that I even forgot to take video. I just grabbed one image. In that image is Bob S. from RCG and Bob S. Sr. There is at least 70 years of flying experience there. If you click on the pic and keep clicking until you are fully zoomed in, you can see them flying the The HobbyKing Edge 540T EPP/Light Plywood 3D Aerobatic Airplane 1430 mm they put together over the winter. It is a beautiful plane and with their set up they can do some really spectacular flying. Maybe I'll get video next time.
