So we start our trip at 1 am Friday morning and what is normally a 15.5 hr drive is more like a 18.5 hr drive. Wife and kid can't tie it of like I can but hey, its not always just about the destination, the journey can be just as fun. We saw beautiful scenery and there was just enough to keep this tired motorist awake for the trip. We got to Merlin's late but him and his wife were still up to greet us and welcome us into their beautiful home. I tell you one thing is for certain... this is the nicest double wide home I have ever seen in my life. I don't know how it survives the hurricanes here but he says he just cinches up the tie downs and rides it out. Never had a problem. SO anyway, after we made it in and slept the night through we get up to have a relaxing day. The mini Pax went for the pool as did the wife and I later on. Throughout the day we hit the pool and worked on planes. Merlin told us of his excellent culinary skills. You can see him tossing pizza dough around. Little did we know he dropped it a few times. J/K

On Sunday we packed up the planes and went to the airfield. The B-25 did not survive and the Hellcat was twitchy. The P-38 was a dream as usual. We flew for a few hours and met some of the guys at the field and we cam home.

The next day we went to the beach and saw some of natures PBY's flying around and the coast guard graced us with the presents of their C-130.
