To all members
I believe that if you are looking at this blog you may have some interest in a classified ad that I recently posted, but may be a little suspicious of any ad’s posted by a NEW member (Jan 2020) with NO trade rating (ZERO). I can certainly understand being cautious I know I would feel the same way if I were in your shoes. So first off let me assure you this is not any type of a scam, I’m just a devoted son try to comply with his father last wishes. As stated in the text this kit comes from the estate of my father, an avid R/C hobbyist and collector who lived in Portland Oregon. My dad built and flew model air planes from 1937 to 1996 in the Portland, Camas and Hillsborough area and amassed a large collection..
My father passed in 2002 and in his “last will and testament” stated that his collection of RC planes, kits and accessories were not “TOYS” and needed to be treated accordingly. His collection passed to my mother and remained “untouched”, per her wishes, until her passing last year. It is now time to deal with this collection. I know my dad would want the items in his collection to go to builders and flyers of model air planes who have the same passion for this hobby as he did. Therefore, selling these items on eBay just doesn’t seem right.
So while researching classified ads of some of my dad’s kits online I came across “”. I thought this might be a good place to start exposing his collection, so I joined. I do not know any members,...Continue Reading

So I started this project 6 years ago. It was my first helicopter purchase, a blade 400 with fly bar.
I bought the fuselage from Darthdrk if memory serves me right. I do remember the original build went to get her quick and very half thought out on my side. At the time I started it I had little helicopter experience and thought I would just take my Blade 400 convert it to FBL and stuff it in the fuselage. And that’s exactly what I did.
First flight went just as your thinking right now, horrible and end as you would expect l, picking up pieces. And putting in a box for a later day. As I learned a very important lesson. Helicopters are more complex than planes.

Forward 5+ years and many more helicopters and experience to me purchasing an ARF A-109 450 from MotionRC. It was ok and had a few flights before I crashed it. Because of parts I was forced to rebuild it into a MD500e. Learned a bit about helicopter mounting into fuselage. After that was done I had a really bad vibration which had caused some flight issues. So doing some research I decided to go with a more scale look with a 5 blade head to utilize a low head speed.
Well I learned more about helicopters than I had ever anticipated. At the end I have a very nice flying MD500E that is rock solid.

So after that finished and feeling more knowledgeable and confident, I pulled the BlueThunder project out. I won’t get into to much of the build, but I got the phasing , the control rods and servos and the blade...Continue Reading

Eachine EMAX EAT03 RC Car
Coupon: BGEachineFPV -
77€ - with FPV goggles
EMAX EAT03 is a small RC car with FPV camera and remote control. Great toys for every young RC beginner. Identical to the EMAX Interceptor RC car.

The red EMAX Interceptor RC car is identical with the blue Eachine EAT03
Coupon: BGEMAXRC -

Video - EMAX Interceptor Eachine EAT03 FPV RC Car (DE) (EN subtitle)
EMAX Interceptor Eachine EAT03 FPV RC Auto (3 min 23 sec)

It is really fun to drive around the apartment by car. Since the car is very small, it can get through almost any small gap. The perspective is funny as if you were a little mouse running through the apartment. Behind thicker walls, the video reception is worse, so a better antenna may help. A great FPV car that I can recommend to everyone.
And as I said, the difference between Eachine EAT03 and Emax Intereptor is only the color blue instead of red.

Absolutely loving my new 94” MXS. Not sure why I waited so long to own one. Really wide flight envelope, and excels at both high energy tumbles as well as low and slow.
- Extreme Flight airframe and bling
- GP76 for power
- Northwest RC spinner and pilot
- B&E Graphix
- Emcotec fuel dot
- Spektrum Powersafe receiver

I removed the landing gear on my TT to compare power off glide performance and was amazed at the difference both at high and low speed. With a folding prop and ESC programmed for brake there is no windmilling drag and no risk of prop damage during grass belly landings. My favorite foamy motorglider is the Multiplex Heron and it outperforms the TT. This mod is a compromise but can be usefull when soaring over hills or treelines or when landing on soft sand .

I don't know who Mr. Xing is, But he builds one nasty motor. I like building with balsa and using cheap quad motors to power them. My moulded red Demon has a F-80 T-motor on 8s, Just over 200 Mph and faster in a dive. This xing motor is awesome, Going to build a fuse for this elliptical wing and a 2806.5 1900Kv Xing with 7x4 APC on 6s. That's 200 watts more than the demon. Impressive motor for thirty bucks. I have the 1300 Kv xing on it's way to see what it will do on 8s.

I've started to add some layers to the face and body. I tend to start with the leather objects first like the helmet, gloves and boots. I'm still working on a color for his flight suit. I often experiment with a bunch of color schemes until I find one I like. Here are the latest pics ...

My very first RC airplane was a Super chipmunk ARF. I remember having save money and walked into a Hobby shop in long meadow MA in 1989. I was a young kid, had no idea what I needed and unfortunately the shop was happy to load me up and send me on my way. Obviously it was not a good first plane and I had no chance in hell of being successful. About the most I ever got to do with it was taxi around the high school football fields. Fortunately for me A member of Hamden County Radio Control club of South Hadley Ma found me and helped me get on the right track. So I built a PT40 (I did a horrible job but it flew) gutted the chipmunk and learned to fly. The chipmunk got put in the rafters. I started out in life and it and just it disappeared over time never to be flown.

Fast forward to December 2019. I was telling my wife about the plane I never flew and always wanted to. During the discussion I said it may be cool to find a Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk Kit because well, I have a bit more experience now . How cool would it to be able to get a Chipmunk and fly it right. I also said they are getting harder and harder to find now that they were no longer in production. Well the little turd, she got with a buddy of mine and found one. I knew she was hunting but I thought she was unsuccessful. She gave it to me for a Christmas gift.

The kit was complete and in super shape. The kit it was Die Cut and I have some of the forms dating to 1989. I checked with the AMA...Continue Reading

Following on from the previous P-51 we have another gyro stabilised micro plane from Eachine/Volantex, this time the USAF F- 22. Things are a little different this time with a direct drive pusher prop ( micro edf at this price point is a little too much to ask i think ) and a removal of the rudder in favour of a locked twin elevator ( the two servos control an elevator each but cannot be controlled independently FSSR )

Some quick "Tricks"

OPENTX/DEVIATIONTX : With the latest version of the software and the latest MultiProtocolModule firmware you can control these planes. Protocol V761, they are 6 channel boards with CH5 being Gyro mode/sensitivity. This gives a MUCH finer control IMO

Reversing Aileron or Elevator Direction : BEFORE arming (connect battery but do not throttle up to arm ) Move the Elevator/Aileron stick to the maximum and hold it for 2-3 seconds. The Transmitter will BEEP and the Elevator/Aileron will Twitch. You have now reversed Aileron/Elevator direction.

Taileron Control : Remove the aileron servo plug ( and Servo for that matter ) This will start the board in Taileron control, WHY ? you ask , well , removing the Aileron servo and its linkages will make the plane a few grams lighter increasing performance and Taileron control is more than enough for a tiny little stabilized plane imo, ALSO you can install this board in a FLYING WING and have Elevon control or install it any Chuck Glider,...Continue Reading

Hello all, just wanted to give you a quick background about myself. I'm sixty years young now and a lifelong modeler. I have built everything that flies from indoor rubber power to full scale EAA planes. I've had a 35 year career in the UAV industry at AAI/ Textron systems working in the design and development lab for UAV's. I also had a 15 tenure at GPA hobbies which I purchased with two of my friends but due to my wife's declining health I sold my interest back to the widow of the former owner. Turbine jets and EDF planes are my main interest now but still build from scratch many sizes of models but have stopped flying glow power due to the costs of fuel locally and now use gas or electric power for my smaller planes.
I also have a group of friends that I travel with to swap meets and we have been liquidating the estates of friends so you might see some things up for sale in the fuel engine section and kits. We go to the Westminster Md., Lebanon Pa., and Hamburg Pa. Swap meets each year. Since the advent of the Internet our yearly trips to the WRAM and Toledo Shows have stopped as of four years ago.

X-Frame Racer with HD Video Camera! All parts listed! Today I build and fly my latest Micro FPV Race Drone with the Caddx Tarsier V2 HD camera that allows me to capture HD video AND at the same time have great FPV video real-time during flight with minimal latency. I've gone to great lengths to find the lightest weight dual-stack X-frame for this build. If you know of another one, please share it with all of us!

Hey man, maybe you know Dynam, but havn't heard our branch Brand- Detrum Tech. She seriously on electronic remote control systems. Now introduce her transmitter :

-Adopting 2.4GHz direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) and multiple frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology, the R/C system has high receiving sensitivity and strong anti-interference capability, can support a stable operating for more than 1km on the ground and more than 1.6km in the air.

- Adopting wireless chips, with extended power amplifier (PA) and low noise amplifier (LNA) can extremely improve the system output power and receiving sensitivity.

- Using all-band antenna on transmitter. The transmitting efficiency is greatly improved.

- Can experience a smooth flight operation by using the 4096 section precision sticks and selecting four stick modes.

- Achieving 2.6ms response time, even all channels it acts synchronously.
