I am fairly certain I have the flu. I haven't had the energy to build this week at all. Feeling a little more energetic today.

I am starting to investigate power for my airplanes. I am thinking I like LIFE batteries, but none of my frequented hobby shops carry them.

Anyone with LIFE setups in their aircraft that would like to share with me their set-ups and chargers?

My needs relate to nitro powered classic pattern aircraft, and the older/smaller IMAC airplanes.

Guidence would be fun- if you don't mind.

I admit to being very jaded. Everything pattern I build has been primarily designed by Joe Bridi. That is nothing to be ashamed about. I enjoy his approach. Great design, with maintenance simplicity.

Other classic pattern designers offer this same approach.

Wolfagang Matt, Ron Chidgey, Phil Kraft, Jim Whitley, Ed Kaz, to name a few.

I have a Bridi dilemma that is self-induced. There are 2 Bridi aircraft kits I own that I have been coveting for a long time now. The Escape and the UFO. I am set up to build both, but don't know which to build first! It's my problem, but I wish I knew where to start.

One reason I enjoy the Classic Pattern Association is the need to build a classic pattern airplane in order to fly a classic pattern airplane.

No- I am not ripping on ARF people or anything to that subject. In fact, there are more and more classic pattern ARFs entering the fray than one would have ever thought as little as 3 years ago. Some people just do not enjoy building.

Kudos to you! I am happy for people that get to do what they want.

I enjoy the build process.... even more than flying (but don't count me out there! I enjoy flying too!). Unfortunately, life just hasn't let me do much flying the last 4 years. I foresee that to change in the next year or so.

Anyhow...

I can appreciate a well built airplane. It really is functional art. And to use it to draw lines in the sky is a great way to display this art.

What is my point?

I like to build. I am grateful I get to do this.

Simple to say, simple to hear. It doesn't politic, it shouldn't offend.

I just wish I was an engine guy!
