Added a lite alloy tail spar with twin tail fins and white helios tail blade

Tail boom braces in micro cf next

Helios swash, mixer links and flybar work superb, allot more agile than the stock setup really dips the nose and goes vs the stock mixer links which feed in allot more feedback from the flybar. See a couple of posts down for the comparison of the two mixer links. you need to run teh entire helios setup, teh 911 links are too loose on the helios balls (or sand the heilos balls down) Helios fish eye swash is beefier than the fish eye replacement offered for the 911, I have had allot of separation problems with the 911 fish eye swash on my other stock heli.

Earlier version v1 main blades are a better fit on the head pins, way less slop than the later blades and have thicker plastic around the pinch screw, overall a more durable blade than the later versions.

V915 list of good mods to do to improve the flight experience:

Accelerate button mod on the TX: consider this mandatory to get more cyclic reaction, add an on - off switch to the TX on the top right to active the existing push button switch to get more servo throw all the time (otherwise you will have to hold the push button down – not exactly practical). If you intend to fly a V911 with the same remote use an on - off toggle switch – 911 goes out of control with the switch on…………….. not pretty…………. Dunno why, it just does……….

Flybar ends: bend these up otherwise you will hit the exhaust of the scale turbine and possibly knocking it off……… get the bend such that the weight is parallel to the scale turbine on full flybar angle with at least 5mm clearance, flybar does flex. I drilled the scale exhaust on the underside and added a black wire tie to the tail boom lattice frame just in case……….

Main motor pinion clearance to main shaft drive gear: they seem to be “tight” from the factory, loosening the main motor mounting screws a fraction and the whole rotor head is allot smoother @ easier to turn by hand. With a F45 main motor its downright tight / notchey compared to my V912 with the same setup. A tight pinion to main shaft gear puts allot of drag on the main motor, drives up motor heat and drags down the battery and also reduces motor...Continue Reading
