The EMAX Babyhawk is certainly a breath of fresh air in the predominantly carbon framed racing copter scene! It has a stylish plastic frame that manages to hide almost all of the wiring, and in addition the camera mount actually has an up angle, which can't be said for most other models around the same size. The Babyhawk flies pretty well and can be quick on 2S LiPos, and the Betaflight controller supports most bells and whistles, so even the more pretentious of flyers should be satisfied!

Emax BabyHawk 85mm Micro Brushless racing copter - has potential, however there is always a BUT! (6 min 37 sec)

The review, as well as a full parts list, can be found in my blog:

Motor centre to motor centre (diagonally): 86.8mm
Dimensions: 78.50mm x 78.50mm x 44mm (without props and antennas)
Flying weight: 64g (w/o battery)

As usual from GearBest, my package arrived in a perfect condition, and with DHL it takes only 3-4 days! Very nice work yet again!

Nowadays a lot of these micro racing copters come in some nice boxes, but the Babyhawk really takes the gold medal in that department! That box is just pure BLING! I am certain it will survive well even if somebody jumps on it!

There is enough foam in there to make sure everything stays untouched from abuse! I mean... this box probably costs 10% of the price of the whole copter! I AM going to be keeping this even...Continue Reading

Vantac / KingKong Q100 - amazing performance on a budget (7 min 14 sec)

You can find the full parts list and the review also in my blog at

If you are looking to get into micro racing quads on a budget, the Vantac / KingKong Q100 is the perfect model for the job! It is cheap, tough, lightning fast, and stable for a brushed copter, definitely one of the best in its class. Even though the flight controller is not F3, Betaflight can be flashed on it and in my experience it is working perfectly making the copter in a class of its own! Pair this with the Devo 7E and a bit of a soldering skill, and you have probably the cheapest entry level micro racing copter system. This would be a good option if you want a taste of the action, but you're not completely sure if you would like it. All that would be needed is a pair of goggles and you would be ready to go flying.

Motor centre to motor centre (diagonally): 100mm
Dimensions: 83mm x 83mm x 37mm
Flying weight: 59.2g (44.8 w/o battery)

The package arrived in a perfect condition, although it took about 2 months to get here... I was almost ready to give up on it!

The Vantac modification that I got came fully assembled, so there was very little for me to do. The frame is solid and looks good, and also costs very little as a spare part, so if you break it, you will not break the bank to get it repaired.

Thre flight controller and Vtx...Continue Reading

Hey guys, here is my review of the KingKong 90GT Micro Brushless copter. It is a pretty good model!

You can also find a complete part's list in my blog:

For daily updates and news you can also follow me on Facebook.

It is amazing how small these things are getting! Just a few months ago the E 90X was about the quickest thing I've flown in this size, and it was GOOD... but the KingKong 90GT is just stunning! It is fast, it is tough and it is made very nicely and the build is good! It is simply a very good option for those who want to go a class smaller in size.

Motor centre to motor centre (diagonally): 90mm
Dimensions: 80mm x 80mm x 28mm
Flying weight: 67.2g (47.2 w/o battery)

As usual from GearBest, my package arrived in a perfect condition, and with DHL it takes only 3-4 days! Very nice work yet again!

First and foremost it has to be the size. I am just shocked at how things are developing in the racing drone scene and the trend is simply to go smaller! To what end... we shall see, but for the time being some amazing stuff is coming out, and it is working out of the box, with very good results. And that didn't use to be the case just a while back!

Now, 90mm drones have become mainstream and I have to say they are built amazingly well, come pre-assembled and pre-programmed, so all you need to do is match video channels with your goggles, setup 2 switches on your radio for arming...Continue Reading
