L-V shorts the water valve and dispenses water.
L-M shorts the motor and makes it turn.
L-H shorts the heater and makes it heat.
T-H should run the whole cycle, heating the mold, turning the motor and near the end of the cycle it should activate the valve.

Use low nitro fuel (5% is best IMO) and a hot glow plug with a long reach like he McCoy MC59. Adjust the idle needle for a slow reliable idle and the high speed needle for about 400-500rpm rich from peak. If the midrange is rich as is sometimes common with SuperTigre/Como Engines, you adjust the spraybar which is the two little screws on the side of the carb that holds the spraybar in. Adjust the spraybar in roughly ‘1-hour’ increments aiming the fuel inlet lower towards the engine mount. It is always best to start out with the spraybar “straight in”; with the carburetor removed from the engine, looking into the bottom of the carb, the “cats eye” should be visible and centered in the bore.

Many times, the fuel nipple will basically end up aiming at the rear mounting hole. Often I’ve found this is necessary until the engine has a couple gallons of fuel through it. It is not necessary to program the transmitter to open the throttle slower. Setting the carb properly will 99% of be time cure any midrange issues you may have. Setting a SuperTigre/Como carburetor like conventional 2-needle carburetors will likely make the idle/midrange lean because you are trying to make the idle needle do the work of the idle mixture and midrange (when the midrange is likely rich) and that isn’t how the carburetor is designed to be setup.
A rich engine will blubber and clear out usually (unless way too rich), a lean engine will hesitate or cut out....Continue Reading

1994 Kawasaki Bayou 220 not producing spark. First ATV ever
You have probably looked over my thread...and seen that these issues seem to not get much of a response. Seems electrical is a ghost and in the spirit realm where we know it exists, but have no clue of how.

But there is good news! I am not an expert, but have done a ton of research and troubleshooting on mine. I would say that first and foremost is to get a manual. They can be had electronically on ebay for $10. Don't take this the wrong way, but if your not interested in getting it, then your not going to be interested in getting down to the root of your issues. The manual will help you understand what all is going on.

But here is some thoughts regardless. On your model you have 4 things going on with your igintion system getting spark. First you have your stator, it has two yellow wires that come out of it going to the regulator/rectifier, and you have a red and red/black coming out that go to the CDI unit. Those two wires supply ac voltage to the CDI unit to allow it to 'function'. Kind of like a power supply.

Second you have your pick up coil. It is the blue and black wire coming from just behind your pull starter. It is the signal to the CDI that its time to make a spark.

Third you have your signal to the coil from the CDI. This is the green/white wire.

Fourth you have your grounds. This is where you need to start. You need to check to see if the black/yellow wire...Continue Reading

For those 510’s with the simple “T” style connector into the back of the alternator, this is a pretty straight forward conversion.

The Alternators
The OLD (externally regulated Alternator) had the “N” and “F” connected by the plastic “T” connector.

“N” Neutral was connected by a Y (yellow) wire.
[This is the top of the “T” connector]
“F” Field was connected by a W/B (White, black stripe) wire.
[This is the stem of the “T” connector]
The NEW IR ALT (internal regulated alternator) will have two connections, also in a T configuration like the old unit.

“S” Sense is connected to the battery (direct +12 Volts)
[This is the top of the “T” connector]
“L” Lamp is connected to the Warning lamp light.
This connection has TWO functions. By Sensing the circuit is turned on when the ignition is, it will energize the alternator. SECOND: when the alternator FAILS, and the engine is running, it will GROUND this connection – providing a ground path to turn on the “ALT” warning lamp. (you should see the “ALT” lamp glow when the ignition is first turned on, before starting the car).
How to modify the wiring
Before tossing that old voltage regulator into the trash bin
cut OFF the connector block.

Splice the W (white) wire to the Y one. (Sense circuit)
Splice the W/R (white/red) wire to the W/B one. (Lamp circuit)

This the wiring at the HARNESS, compare it to the regulator wiring, both should be the same – but some replacement units did not follow...Continue Reading

“I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history.

If you remember the plot of the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family escaped over the Alps rather than submit to the Nazis. Kitty wasn’t so lucky. Her family chose to stay in her native Austria. She was 10 years old, but bright and aware. And she was watching.

“We elected him by a landslide – 98 percent of the vote,” she recalls.

She wasn’t old enough to vote in 1938 – approaching her 11th birthday. But she remembers.

“Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.”

No so.

Hitler is welcomed to Austria

“In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25 percent inflation and 25 percent bank loan interest rates.

Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.

“My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.’

“We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933.” she recalls. “We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.

“Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group – Jewish or...Continue Reading
