it's the Mobula 7 V2, and well... this drone is old news now. So why are we taking a look at it 1 year later? As we approach micro season here in North America, the price has come down significantly. I bought my Mobula 7 V2 for around $70 shipped a couple of months ago, and it originally sold for $100+ shipped. In this review we'll figure out if it's worth the price drop. I'll be talking flight, specs, a possible quiet upgrade from the factory, batteries, cheap modifications, and more.

A new charger -- the speed H6. It's got some unique functions here that make it special from other chargers, absolutely worth a look if you're in the market for a compact charger for the bench or the field bag.

GepRC CinePro 4K HD Drone (Full Review & Flight Video) (18 min 2 sec)

Video Quality

The camera is the most important thing in a cinematic drone; you want to take good video... and the CinePro can do that. It has a Caddx FPV Tariser 4K camera. The dynamic range and color on this is excellent; and there's good reason why. It consists of two sensors and lenses; one is for your FPV, or First Person View. The other is for the high definition video. This compartmentalization of sensors keeps your First Person View experience lag free, while not compromising on HD video. It has multiple resolution options, with the ability to shoot up to 4K @ 30 frames per second.

My personal recommendation when using this camera is to shoot at 1440 @ 60 frames, or 2.7k @ 60 frames and actually skip 4k. The video in the introduction was taken in 1440 @ 60 frames per second in a 4:3 aspect ratio. You get the most of the entire 4:3 sensor this way, which is why I did that.

But of course I didn't upload it as raw 1440, in post production I dynamically stretched it using video editing software. This produces a superview-esque effect which looks a lot more natural. You can then upscale to 4K @ 60 frames per second in 16:9, and upload it to YouTube to squeeze the best quality you can get from the site. It looks GREAT if you can tolerate the extra time to do the post production work and...Continue Reading

Battery Strap & Camera Setup

I tossed the included straps, as they were of low quality and too short. Routed ones I had over the top of the frame that way the entire bottom is free for a rubberized battery grip. Be careful when you setup the battery strap like this, you don't want the strap to be pulling on the esc part of the stack at all which means you'll need to finagle it to run as flat as possible across the bottom.

The 3D printed TPU canopy is great because it's hard to break but as you can see the camera is kind of just held in there not by much. The whole canopy flexes quite a bit which can be jello inducing. One great suggestion by a dude over at RCGroups forums named soloprofan is to put some zip ties on the front of the mount and that should help to keep it from moving around so much and I've done that and can see noticible improvement.

VTX Setup

After you get the battery strap sorted, you're going to want to unlock the FullSpeed FSD TX600 video transmitter for the best video reception. TX600's factory set...Continue Reading

JJRC has come out with two Christmas theme micro drones that are great for stuffing the stockings: The "H66 X-MAS Egg", and "H67 Flying Santa Claus." This review covers both of the JJRC family of holiday drones and compares them so you can make a more informed choice on which one to buy.

JJRC H67 Flying Santa & H66 X-MAS Egg Christmas Drones (16 min 20 sec)

🎅JJRC H66 X-MAS Egg: https://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopt...?lkid=11934762
🎅JJRC H67 Flying Santa Claus: https://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopt...?lkid=11934757

Overall, the Flying Santa Claus is my favorite. After the holidays are over, it's prime for modification, easy motor replacement, FPV, removing the sound, etc. It's also cheaper than the egg drone. However, the egg has a surprisingly good 720p camera with a really unique form factor. It's also very easy to control with the gravity-sensor wand.

What a day! I have been fortunate enough to receive the new MJX Bugs 8 directly from MJX themselves for review and demo flight. In this video I cruised around using my FatShark goggles. I received the entire Bugs 8 kit -- headset, receiver, the works, but I wanted to just give the fatsharks a try since that is I how I *always* do FPV with my racers. Here are the results!

I just got my RunCam 3 that I purchased and I'm ecstatic! It's a little beast of a camera for sure. It gets hot as hell when wifi is turned on, though. But I'm not planning on using it often with wifi enabled anyway. I made a few time lapses for fun with it earlier and the video quality is quite good. Hope I can do a full comprehensive review soon.

2. Went to receiver -> changed AETR1234 to TAER1234 to fix the throttle being "wrong" for my X9D+ -- this will confuse the hell out of you if you try to set this up in either cleanflight or betaflight and you don't do this step. Both...Continue Reading
