Hey Everyone,

If you are a part of a club and don't use your Places Forum to communicate, now is a great time to start. If members of a club make 100 posts on their Places Forum, we will be giving out FREE 1yr Plus Memberships to those members.

Using your Club's Places Forum is a great way to communicate between members and you can add events to our Event Calendar to help get the word out. If anyone has any questions on how to use Places you can watch the video below or reply to this thread.

We've also added two new smaller sticker sizes for cars and trucks and smaller airplanes too.
You can also put them on your transmitters and cases or even your batteries.

I've been on RCG for a long time. I think this is one of the best online communities on the planet. Since joining the team here at RCG, I've been given a great opportunity to reward our members and give away FREE 1-year Plus Membership upgrades!

That's right, I'm giving away 1-year Plus Memberships to users that we feel do a great job of promoting the hobby and supporting others. It's totally subjective and nothing personal if you weren't selected. For the next month or so I'll be posting the users I've selected here in my blog. Enjoy the free year of Plus Membership guys.

This weeks rewarded users are:

A few weeks ago we went up to Indiana to document and film an Iron Pour. It was awesome and we got some pretty good footage. One of the guys is a performance artist who hollows out logs, wets them, and then when they pour molten iron in it, it creates a massive explosion.

I was flying my Octocopter to film the experience. They poured it into one log and the explosion was cool, but not that impressive. The second one however, was insane. The explosion was HUGE! I could only see it from my peripheral as I was watching the copter. The explosion sent red hot molten iron a hundred feet in the air, and it was heading for my Octocopter. It happened so fast there wasn't really much I could do. I watched as the iron fell literally just feet from my Octo. Neal, standing next to me controlling the camera had some choice words. We had never seen anything like that before. It was amazing and we got it all on film. Check out the video below to see the explosion for yourself.
