I found this on Craigslist for next to nothing. It had a OS 25 FP in it and had around 15-20 flights on it and in extremely excellent shape. I drove some distance to get it but could not pass it up. The guy was a master builder and no longer flies r/c. The Futaba radio was made in the early 80's so it was first to be removed along with the engine. I installed a Turnigy electric motor and modded the bulkhead to accommodate a 3S 2650 lipo. It is controlled by a 50A esc and swinging a 12X8" propeller. I lowered the top end of the motor through my TX to tone the motor down a bit. It runs cool and should have plenty of power, if not I can easily bump it up accordingly.

The planes radio gear was upgraded to 2.4 Spektrum AR500 receiver, digital standard servos. I love airplanes built in the 70's and 80's and flying them with modern 2.4 radio gear along with the new motor and battery technology.

This fine model has been around since before I started in this most excellent hobby some 25 years back! I cannot wait for the snow and cold to go away for my next season of flying~
