This is a really cool little truggy style vehicle, its small enough to drive indoors, yet fast enough to have fun with outdoors. This is PT2 where you will see how fast it is, it goes faster than advertised.

I had a great time running it around on pavement and gravel, grass is a little too tall for it, and big gravel rocks are a little bumpy, but otherwise it does awesome. The 4wd makes it hook and go, on smooth surfaces it has the power to drift very well. The batteries last a long time, and charge fast. And you can remove and install them without taking off the body.

Be sure to subscribe, in an upcoming video I even put FPV on it, and it was FUN!

FMS Edge 540 EPO 1320mm Maiden Review PT2 (2 min 43 sec)

Here is one of the flying portions of the review, Ill have more soon as the weather lets me with my better camera.

The airplane has a ton of power, unlimited vertical on my 4s lipo, balance was spot on, I am still adjust the throws and rates to my liking, I need to get more up and down elevator yet, everything else is good.

It was a little windy as you can hear in the video, hopefully next time out it will be nicer and I can wring it out more closer to the camera.

Flight impressions

PRO:
- Flies light
- Very aerobatic, will do 3D
- Power, unlimited vertical
- Fast axial rolls
- Predictable flight
- Handled the wind great
- Great flight times, did two 6 min flights on one 3200mah lipo, but
I was not pushing it very hard, Id think one 8-10min flight of hard
3d could be easily done.
- 3 Blade prop slows it down nicely


CON:
- No flight cons yet other than need more down elevator

Stability and predictability are two strong points of this airframe and together with the high power brushless motor, scale 3 blade propeller and long duration ESC. It results in a great trainer and intermediate aircraft.

Here we have a really nice Edge 540 from FMS. Reviews are great, finish is very nice, it came well packaged and it goes together very fast. It feels very light, and so far it flies very well! Flight videos coming in the next part of the review.

Only thing I would like to have seen, was a fast easier way to secure the wings so it would be easier to take apart to transport, its 4 screws now, not a big deal, but something easier would be nice.

To complete it I used 4 of these servos:

They are not a drop in, I did have to glue them into place, but bang for the buck they work awesome!

And a 4s 3200 mah lipo


Initial impressions

PRO:
- Light
- Great looks
- Finish is nice
- Big battery compartment
- Servo extensions and Y's included
- 3 blade prop with chrome spinner looks great
- Plenty of power!
- Most things are pre done, assembly is FAST!
- T connector on esc


CON:
- Servo holders for aileron servos are made to accept one size
