Carpel tunnel has gotten a bit better. It still hurts to grab things in the most common ways. Some days it's worse than others. I haven't had a pain free day with it yet.

This is a picture of the original.
The new one is the same size but the motor is now mid mounted. If you look closely you can see the slot cut in the vertical stabilizers for the prop to pass through.

I will be using 2 3S2200mah packs to counter weight the motor for 11.1 volts 4400mah. It should be fun.

I used to order balsa from Midwest but for the longest time they were out of stock now the domain goes to another business, but they have stock so now i can finish the beast. The cores at 30* sweep make a 48 inch wing, at 68* which is true to scale the wingspan is 25.5 inches. Still it has a 36 inch chord.

I have added places for fixed landing gear, but will fly it without until it's optimized for C/G. I fly at an alfalfa field so any shallow approach is a safe landing. After the gear is added I will be taking off from the tribal office in the field, they it has a nice all concrete parking lot. The entire trailing edge is control surface.

The big change is bringing all the weight closer to the C/G instead of out at the nose and tail. The new tail feathers will be scale, the old one were larger in length to make up for the slotting and lack of strength it caused.

The new fuselage top will be fiberglass, carbon fiber if I can get some. I need to scrounge an old 'fridge for the pump to make a vacuum bag setup.
