New for 2018
Bandit ARF Mk1 that I got “in the white” from ZB at Esprit Models a couple of years ago, BVM Air Blue retracts and BVM Bandit struts/wheels.
Schübeler DS-82 DIA HST w/6043-650 on 14s8000
Max 160Amps and ~8000watts, ready to fly it is 23lbs.
Has the Ralf Dvorak designed all carbon fiber intake ducts from Schübeler.
Maiden flight the day before the 2018 EDF Jet Jam across the river from Louisville, Ky.

This model was inspired by the Bandit that Ralf Dvorak brought to the 2009 E-Jets......

Got this kit back about 2010 and finally have gotten around to putting it together.
It is a 1:9 size so 72" span and 65" length. Expecting it to be approximately 24lbs all up.
Power is a pair of custom Schübeler DS-68 AXI HDS 110mm using Neu1912 motors, 10s5200 RevoLectrics for each fan, and YGE 120HV ESC's.
Retracts are electric from Lado, the decals are enroute from Ralle at TailorMade in Germany.
Expecting it will fly in June.

ADDED: that last photo is from late Spring 1979 and 92nd TFS at RAF Bentwaters, UK.
This is the plane replicated here; the guy flying is a squadron mate, I was in another plane that day. That whole life was a young mans dream......more fun than the law ought to allow!

May 2014 and I got to attend the 2014 EDF Jet Jam out at AMA Muncie.
The public debut of my Airworld Me-262a powered with the new Schübeler DS-51AXI HDS 90mm. Weight about 21lbs RTF.
Uses the HET700-68 1400kV motor for 72Amps/ 2200watts per fan on 8s at Denver, Colorado altitudes.
This jumped to 85Amps/ 2500+ watts at Muncie's altitude.
There is NO LACK of power here!

Jetpower AND Schubeler: What better way to spend a vacation and my 60th birthday!
Jetpower needs to be on every jet guys bucket list......
Of course I have "connections" so I got to visit the Schubeler facility in Paderborn after Jetpower.

My workhorse; this model was my 1st large EDF and has served over the years as the testbed for a range of fans:
JHI eTurbax, Aeronaut TF4000, Stumax 110-52, Stumax 110-45, prototype Stumax 110-47, and shortly the Schübeler DS-77HST 6730-650

Radar'd @ 176mph at a past E-Jets running a Stumax110-45, not too shabby for a 15 1/2lb model on 4200watts with no gear doors.

My favorite model!
DS-30 with Neu1112 on 5s3300 for about 1200watts.
Has been flown at past E-Jets and Arizona Jet Rally.
Sadly, this model is no longer in production and only about 20 were ever produced. Of those perhaps 5 have been built and flown world wide.

Bungee only, no room for retracts
