How To Program Your Throttle End Points on A JR X9303 With Castle Creations ESC

One of the most important thing you need to do when setting up your radio to work properly with an ESC is to map the throttles end points. You see the ESC has no clue what the Zero throttle or Full Throttle potions are. What you want to do is map the the throttle stick to match these positions so you can realize full stick resolution.

If you don't map these, "End Points" you might find that full throttle is 1/2 way on the total stick travel. If this happens, it will be extremely difficult to have a smooth flight. The reason is because even a little movement of the stick is actually a lot of actual input to the motor. On the flip side, you might never be able to see full throttle, and this is a waste of potential power.

So all you have to do is map the end points with to your radio. Each ESC is a little different, but Castle Creations makes it super simple to do. All yo have to do is know the beeps, and what they mean. Watch the video and let me show you what I mean.

Thanks for your time, AKf

JR 11X Transmitter Front Lens Replacement Procedure

Hey if you ever need to replace the lens of a JR 11x, XG11, XG8, XG9, hell even the new XG14 this video shows you how to do it with a single tool.

Note the replacement lens cannot be ordered via the parts department. Horizon Hobby wants you to send the radio in for service, this just isn't necessary. If you are kind, and ask for a new lens to be sent to you from the guys in the service department, you just might get lucky and have one sent to you for, "No Charge" like it was for me.

I want to give a huge thanks to Tom in the Horizon Hobby JR radio service department. I explained this job was simple, and it just wast necessary to send the radio in for service. I was relieved when he agreed.

Now if you want to make things easy when you contact the, "Service/Tech" department, you can give them the exact part number. For a JR 11X transmitter's front lens assembly, it's part # JRR61120

I hope you find this helpful, AKf
