For some time now, I have been using Google Earth to scope out possible flying areas around me. This is a great resource to use if you are not in a club, your own club is closed or for any reason or you can't fly at a certain place. Google Earth will show all the parks around you that will be highlighted green. If you don't have access to Google Earth just go to
http://maps.google.com where you can view the satellite where public parks, school fields, lots and developers land is, from here you can go to the site and see if it is public and that there is no :
osted:: signs or someones lawn/field. Again it is a great application to use and you will find parks you never even new existed.
Places I have found and flown at with Goole Earth, this is only limited to electric stuff:
*Parks I never knew existed.
*School fields.(on weekends, holidays, if no games etc.)
*Huge developers land-lots and fields.
