Well, I was working on my plane and thought I would share this for others. 1/64th ply is what I used here but it works all the same. Sand with at least 300 grit paper first. Then apply a heavy coat of primer. Dry sand with at least 300 grit again. And then apply a heavy coat of metallic paint. I'm using nothing but rattle cans here. Makes it have a nice dull aluminum look but without the nasty radio interference. Easy peasy too!
