Well, this project has been on my bench half finished for months, and I finally got around to the part that I hate the most, covering. I am pretty happy with the results...I ignored the covering spec temps and just turned the temp waaaaay down on my iron, and took it slow....results were significantly better than in the past.

Color scheme as always is courtesy of my daughter...a nice combo of olive drab w/invasion strips, and a sporty beach look on the top!

I completed my test glides today at a grassy place next to my house.... test glides looked promising….hope to maiden it this week at Blossom!

UPDATE: Maidened at Blossom today....WSM flew out of my hand first toss.....handled well, very in control in pitch, roll rate was fast and smooth. Passed the dive test, flies inverted with about 1/4 fwd stick real easy.....so it may need a touch of tail weight. Pretty amazing, I pushed everything I could fwd, and it seems as though this may be the first wing I built with out nose weight....pretty cool.

UPDATE: RIP.....zipper never made it back from Maui last year....finial resting place is some bush on the north west side of the island......it really hauled A@# in that big lift. Had to ballast it up another 12.5 oz to keep it from getting knocked around! LMA go into all my planes now!

Finished my WW Zipper build. 20.5 oz, Ultra Coat over RT/PU/LW Spackle.
