Took out my Walkera Rodeo 150 and Eachine Falcon 250 out for some flying and fpv comparison,I know not really similar machines for sure but they are currently my fpv favorites. The Rodeo can certainly holds it's own for it's size ,also I like the camera better on the Rodeo 150 .The Falcon 250 clearly has more speed and would most likely smoke the Rodeo in a all out race..unless it was a tight small area, that's what I also like about the Rodeo,it's great in the small park that I flying in out back of my house.Don't get me wrong,I fly my Falcon here as well but truly is best taking it a larger field to open it up
Hot days,cool quadcopters,happy flying all

I have been having a blast flying fpv with the Rodeo 150.I have a couple other quad racers which are great but really too big to really enjoy in the backyard space I fly in often, they need a good deal of space to really open up.The Walkera Rodeo 150 is perfect for a park ,it's size is just right for a park flyer and still has plenty of speed to be exciting.I highly recommend this one to anyone who want a great performing fpv quadcopter but not a lot of space to fly a larger size racer easily

I have had a busy but fun filled week trying out some new gear.Pretty much love the new Walkera Rodeo 150,I got some FPV time in on it earlier this week and I gotta say it was one of more enjoyable FPV Flights to date
I also got some fpv driving in a couple nights ago with the RunCam Owl Plus mounted on myWlToys 979,I gotta say the Owl plus does really in low light conditions, that was a blast.
Lastly ,the new a Syma X8HG arrived yesterday ,so I got that put together and charged up then took it out for a maiden flight and yes it is a nice smooth flyer ,as I knew it would be,I took some pictures and video with it's included HD camera,I have not had a chance to check out the footage from that but once I do I will share my thoughts on it.
Glad to say, long weekend now approaching,I have a bunch of footage to edit and share,as well as get out and get more

Hi All,

I Just got this very nice quadcopter in today from Gearbest.com.This is a very short first impression, all I have done at the moment is unbox it ,assembled it and got the battery charging, hoping maybe to get a night flight in if the battery is ready in time.Very well built machine here,I can see why it is selling out ,lots of great features for much less than some other quadcopters.I will have much more insight and review on this fine quadcopter soon.
The Hubsan H501S is available now at Gearbest.com
you can find one here :
http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopte...26.html?wid=10
Also parts and batteries available here :

I highly suggest a spare battery or two,the 2700mah battery takes a while to charge so good to have extras ready to go
I will have much more insight on this cool quadcopter to come in the next coming days,It has many great features to highlight and I want to emphasize on them all

This is my second flight on the Eachine Falcon 250,I just picked this up and have had bad weather since I got it so today the weather cleared a bit ,still have some decent wind kicking up but I had to get out and fly this bird! This is the fastest quadcopter I have for sur,Yes there are faster ones out there I am sure but right out of the box this is ready to move,a great flyer for anyone with a decent amount of experience flying r/c and want to get a ready to fly race quadcopter.I picked this on up from Banggood.com check it out here :http://us.banggood.com/Wholesale-Ware...

I took out my new 1/18th scale YiKong RC Truggy TROO - E18XT out for a comparison run against and my 1/18th scale Wltoys A979 .
The YiKong has a 7.2V 800mAh NI-MH Battery with a RC2430 Brushless Motor and the WLToys has a 7.4V 1100mAh Battery and a
390 brushed motor.
My son and I did some speed runs with the two and found the YiKong to be very fast however the little brushless moror nearly overpowers the Yikong truggy so you can't floor the throtle or it will spin out of control
The WlToys 979 is also very fast but more manageable when you floor the throttle .If the YiKong had better traction it would surely be the faster of the two but with the two set up in their stock form the WlToys 979 won the drag races

Trying out my light mod on a night flight with the JJRC x1,I used some vending machine toy containers and drilled a couple holes trough them, then secured the pods with a zip tie.Pretty happy with the result, also paineted the bottom of the pds with some silver to help reflect the leds .total mod cost under $2 and the kids got to keep the toys from the vending machines ,win, win

Got home today to find that my Eachine Falcon 250 arrived YAY!Nice looking quadcopter I must say.I had some 3s batteries on hand all ready charged and ready, plugged it to make sure all was working, yep!Put on the props and out I went for my first flight. All I can say is I wish I bought this quadracer other than my previous two.My Walkera 250 was decent, just don't crash it,the Runner can't take too much abuse in my opinion. Then there was the ROA Parkour280 which I am still just trying to get it working.
The Eachine Falcon 250 is build well, fly's great right out of the box and certainly seems durable enough
I flew it twice this afternoon already,I do think I will take the angled motor mounts out for now, till I get more flights in with it and some more fpv experience, the Falcon should be more than fast enough with them out for now.
Batteries charging and hoping for some nice weather to get in a bunch of flights with it ...Continue Reading

Cheerson CX10D Night Flight (4 min 40 sec)

I took the Cheeson CX10D out for some night flying this evening to see how it would work in the dark, did alright the little leds do a decent job of helping to keep orientation, brighter is better for sure but for a nano quad leds are limited by size, the CX10D does good though in the dark as long as you don't fly it out to far away

Pick up one of these cool little nano quads here :

With the ever growing number of GPS enabled quadcopters, there are just so many to choose from,I have my eye on this one in particular the Hubsan H501S From what I have seen it looks to be getting good feedback and it's reasoably priced for a GPS camera quadcopter as well.
Gearbest is running a sale on it here :

here is a video of theirs for a peek at at

I am a big fan of this quadcopter,it has been more reliable than my other two brushless quadcopters. My Walkera Runner was nice ,till a crash then I learned what a brittle quad it was, then the Roa Parkour 280,I bought this thinking it would be a improvement on my Walkera, boy was I wrong, maybe between the two I can make a hybrid?
I am getting off track,my point is some of these quadcopters really should not hit the market.JJRC X1 does a good job fr it's price

Love it when I come home to find my latest goodie here!I picked up the Parkour a couple weeks ago on Banggood for a pretty nice price, got the bnf,I have heard the tx with the rtf version is not so great but it was only $10 more soif I have to swap it out I am not out too much and I am sure I can find something to do with the stock tx/rx Setup Time

Edit :After unboxing and charging I went for my first flight, none of the lights are functioning, the fpv camera appears to be transmitting black and white video,it was flyable,I hoped once I plugged into Libre pilot I could configure things and get the lights to work and tune the thing, wrong, having issues with it connecting to Libre pilot to set it up,connection dumps half way through setup and now it will not even bind to the tx Had enough missing with this thing for today,so far this was not a good deal, just a waste of money

Here is a mini review I did of the new Cheerson CX10D
I have had a few nano quadcopters and some have been good and some not so good, the Cheerson Cx10's have been on the good side of this and now the CX10D is a great nano, this is a nice little flyer, the altitude hold works well and makes this a fun and easy little flyer

I have been making improvements on my RunCam/Boscam 5.8ghz setup, shed some weight with the reduction of an extra battery for the 5.8ghz transmitter.Using a wire adapter to run off the balance charge plug from the quadcopters battery. This was the first test, the kiddos on the goggles said it looked cool haha, next flight will be me behind the goggles
