This is a pic of old faithful - my 51" 3DHS AJ Slick...this is a go to plane in my fleet that I can fly anytime in any amount of wind. What a great, dependable, durable airframe!

I love my little 3DHS 46" Vyper (V1)...so when a 65" Vyper was offered at the last 3DHS Garage Sale for a great price I snatched one up. Thanks to Noll both robj and I won the same plane well, not the exact same one but we each won one.

I just got the servos and ESC...got the motor from BoneDoc at the Midwest FLI

It's not done yet, but I did manage to put the legs on this bird tonight. I'm excited to get this plane finished and in the air.

I haven't been keeping up my blog lately, so here's a nice picture I found of my 3DHS 58" Edge. Beautiful airplane with a Motrofly 4315-480 and a ZTW 80amp ESC with a 15x8 prop which provides 1233 watts of power at 53amps max.

This motor comes down cool and the 2x3s2800 Lipos do too. A great airplane which does everything I ask of it. I have a 4" wide velcro strap to keep the batteries in place.

I recently acquired a gently used 3DHS 51" A. J. Slick. I've got a Hacker A30-12XL V2 motor on the front, and it is powered by 4S2500 batteries. Hitec HS-85MG servos all around, and of course, a trustworthy Airtronics RX-600 receiver.

This thing floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee...seriously the growl this thing makes when doing flat spins and KE spins is amazing!

I found some pics of this awesome plane...it was flying great until a cold solder joint gave way and I lost all power to the RX. The plane circled in and the fuse busted in half...minor damage to one wing tip. I'm hoping to rebuild the fuse this winter (2011)...this plane was powered by a "prototype" hitec motor that never made it to production, and a Rhino 5s4900 30c Lipo.

FlipRob (ADCHobbyShop.com) found an old V2 47" Extra SHP in the back of his warehouse and put it up for sale on the 3DHS Addicts thread for a very good price. I was fortunate enough to respond first, so I got the airframe. I've got all the parts for it and I've started putting it together. Here's a few photos...I'lll post more once I "gitR done".

Garage sales are the best! especially when they are 3DHS garage sales! I scored a 3DHS Vyper 46" Yellow airframe from the "3DHS is moving" garage sale for $90 shipped!

This is my first 3DHS airframe but not my last. This plane is built *really* well, flies on rails - really! and makes me look like a better pilot than I am. Finally, it looks "totally awesome"!

Enjoy the photos...I do every time I look at them!

Well, it finally happened...I was happily flying my Twist 60 this weekend, flew across the field into a wall, then started a hover. About 20 feet off the ground, the nose pointed straight up, looking beautiful, then my trusty Saito FA-115 quit. The nose dropped, I tried some elevator to level it out, but no height and no airspeed meant little chance of recovery. Thankfully, the damage is repairable, but it will be a winter project, not a quick fix.
