I felt the Red Dragon was a little anemic on it's maiden flight with the 7x3.5 prop. So I upped the pitch to a GWS 7x6 SF prop. It has WAY MORE punch out and power now. Easily goes vertical and just goes bonkers crazy on the aerobatics. My favorite plane now!

I was way too conservative with the prop... too concerned about overheating the ESC or motor but even flying WOT for this flight, the motor and ESC were only slighty warm.

Here's the maiden flight of the Red Dragon. She flies really well! I like this one a lot.

Finally got around to editing my Gee Bee video. Had to cut out all the far away flight as this plane is small and turns into a speck on the video... Enjoy!

I decided wanted a smaller wing to fly since my car is small and transporting a giant 40 inch wing takes up too much space!

Made a 30 inch version of the delta wing. 350g AUW with a Suppo 2212 1400kv motor, 7x35 GWS Prop, 20amp ESC, Lemon RX, 1500mah 3S Lipo, 2 9g servos

This time made two vertical stabilizers and also added winglets. Maybe this will increase stability... I guess we'll find out!

Spray painted the KFM doubler red and put on a dragon decal on the bottom. The dragon decal is from the dollar store kite I made into a plane earlier (I can't seem to throw anything away). Just cut to size and used 3M spray adhesive (that stuff is sticky as hell!)

Maiden video to follow shortly...

Built this simple delta wing in about 2 hours based on a suggestion from Balsa or Carbon and I think I actually messed up the build as its not quite the same as his wing. However, my plane seems to fly "ok".

The winds were about 20 mph at the start of the session. By the end of the second battery, winds picked up considerably. 20-35 and gusty. It was time to quit for the day when the wind pushed the plane right into my car's windshield!

Based on the CG calculator I thought I had the CG in the right spot but it seems to want to pitch up when I throttle up... but when I cut throttle completely, it floats and glides slowly to the ground.... any idea what's up?

When flying your plane it's probably a good idea to remember that your car is right next to you! I nearly crashed my Parkzone Archer right into my car... luckily I was able to pull up at the last second! LOL!
