This decade-old Mini Ultra Stick had a lot of garage dust on it. I was very careful to take out some wrinkles with a heat gun. Its "mystery" 72 MHz receiver was replaced by a Tactic SLT receiver and a Hitec Flash 8 radio. -

Another decade-old and even dirtier model was this E-flite Adagio 280. The wrong wing spar was broken and the wings held (mostly) in place with Gorilla Glue. The missing main landing wheel was replaced with an extra Hacker Model Production wheel. -

Cosmetically unchanged since its arrival, this little Ares P-51 Mustang sports the correct two-blade replacement prop and an ElectriFly 20A ESC. I already had the proper batteries on hand. Guidance is via an Airtronics SD-10GS. -

This is Jimmy Dixon's "trainer." This little Harbor Freight P-51 was well loved and mine basically for the cost of shipping. Repairs have been made, the priming is complete and both paint and reassembly await. Callie Graphics decals soon!

Here's the HF P-51 hanging from Jimmy's ceiling in Virginia. Although I don't have a picture of the wing as yet since it needs a lot of work, I can say that the missing left wingtip has just been replaced with a piece of balsa aileron stock. -

Everything except the yet-to-be repaired wing is shown here before their first coat of Harbor Freight filler primer. -

If you think this photo looks good, come to Palm Springs and see it in person. You'll thank me.

The box art is understated, something I happen to like. -

"Poldable?" My guess is that it's a portmanteau of "folding" and "portable." -

The DM95 is a handsome little model; it's a mystery to me why a manufacturer or distributor wouldn't be proud to brand it. -

Though somewhat jumbled with its mix of Chinese and English, the manual has very little machine translated text. The accessories are in the bag to the right. -

Here's a sample of what awaits in the manual. The app instructions are on the right. A Chinese version is printed on the other side. -

Only two props and no trim caps for atop the propellers; I've since lost one of the caps. The transmitter sticks are at the top right. -

That neck strap looks like something found at a baby shower. The decals don't help much. The phone clip is to the right and it attaches with a thumbwheel much like a camera to a tripod.

The box graphics up front are very similar of those on the H67 "Flying Santa." -

That one-handed wand control is certainly a first and I wasn't too crazy about it when I first started out. -

Yup, nothing quite says "Xmas" than a reindeer in silhouette buried up to its shoulders. At least his nose, um, glows. -

These are the contents one sees when the Egg is first unboxed. -

The spare props, a prop removal tool and the USB charger are bagged together. That little tool is a fantastic idea. -

With its radials extended, the H66 does a good impression of a hobby-themed Christmas ornament. Note the vine motif on the arms.

My guess is that a lot of kids younger than 14 are going to want to give this quad a whirl. -

The H67 is available in white with red props or red with white props. No choice of music, however. -

In typical JJRC fashion, the box and tray make for excellent storage later. -

Here's everything unboxed and nearly ready. The pamphlet at lower left has a QR code for a JJRC VR game! -

The LEGO-compatible top cover is easily removed to access the FC. The red and black wires near the upper right power the sound module (hint, hint). -

The underside of the H67 shows the battery cage, connector and sound module. It's the round thing beneath the cage.
