So. I saw this plane on Horizon Hobbies clearance site for $149.00. I wasn't that crazy about the plane, but it was different enough from what I had in my fleet that it had me some what interested. I dragged my feet and HH sold out of it by the time I decided I wanted it. I wasn't so upset. So didn't think much of it. A couple weeks later I was poking around at my LHS and look up in the corner and there it sat. I told them HH had been blowing them out and asked how much he would want for it. He made a call to HH and told me $99.00. SOLD!

I just can't seem to sit still. If I'm not flying I'm building. I've had my eye on the Hanger 9 F4U Corsair 50 for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. Having made that decision I started putting together a 60" Vmar stick that I picked up cheap. So this thread starts out with it.

I figured the 60" was about the same weight and size as the Corsair and would be a good test platform for the gear I intended to use in the Corsair.

I picked up a used Eflite power 46 on RCG

13x8 APC

Skypower 60amp ESC from Heads up. (But I think I may go to an 80amp for the Corsair) Edit: HURC 80amp OPTO ESC w/ 10amp SBEC

Hitec HS-325HB servos all around for the Corsair

I have 2 x 3300mah 4s batteries

Well, It's been about a year. The Guillows 24" Thomas Morse kit has been laying around. I put it up for sale a couple of times with the gear to convert it, but it never drew interest. I got bored one rainy day and started building.

I'll be using a Power Up 180 and 7amp ESC. Three channel with two 3.1g servos. I'll be striping down a 6010e clone for an Rx.

I'm 1 for 3 on conversions. We'll see how it goes.

I've been working on this build for a while. I thought I should start posting before it's done, but now we get down to the nity grity anyway. I set it aside and did a conversion on a 20" Guillows Piper Cub just to get a little more experience. That actually went quite well and flies pretty good on 3 channels. I'm going 4 channels on the Cessna. So here goes

I'm building the Dumas 17 1/2" Mister Mulligan kit. I'm building it as if I were going to do an electric conversion from my Parkzone UM Corsair. I'm doing this because I will be converting a Guillows 24" Cesna 150 after this build. I thought I should "pretend" on this one and see what I can learn.
