Guys,

Once again Horizon Hobby does it again!

On Saturday, September 24th, I received one fully outfitted Park Zone "Navy" T-28 Trojan Fuse!

It all started when I realized that my 7 year old Park Zone T-28D "Airforce" was just not repairable anymore and I searched and even called Horizon Hobby Technical Support asking them about any donor "USED" FUSE that might be there and if so, could I have the Firewall as anything has to be better than what I have! I even opened a "Looking" thread over at the Electric Airplanes asking ......

Well, to my surprise, Horizon Hobby sent me an NEW FUSE without any questions and it was outfitted with Servos and the Spektrum AR-600 Full Range Receiver!

Push rods were all in place and ready for action.......well almost!

Gals & Guys,

Just received an e-mail from this eBay front store where I have purchased all of my Horizon Hobby parts saying that they had suffered a very bad warehouse fire.

They returned all monies from an auction I won late last week!

Well, it would seem that many Park Zone, E-Flite and other Horizon Hobby brand items went up in the fire!

Now, it will be harder to find parts and prices may go up!

Hello guys,

Allow me to say that I had to open this blog thread because posting anything about "a" specific model in any of the specific threads created to discuss the specific model made a few people to attack me and "others" who dare point out certain aspects about newly announced and released FOAM warbird models and some resorted to reporting our postings because it was not in their liking "or" they were on the take from the distributor in these threads.

Okay, this blog post is to point out as you might say the King has no clothes analogy

It is perhaps an observation effects among certain recently released 1.1M and 1.2M warbird models that are being discussed within the Electric Warbird section and screaming for attention and our hard earned $$$

Clean and very kind and gentle discussion are welcomed, however, if borderline attacks to anyone or disrespectful unkind or ugly replies will be immediately deleted.

Lastly, since I am located within the United States of America (USA), my comments will be directed and related to someone from the USA when attempting to compare availability and potential purchase of such model.

Okay, lets start with the Eleven Hobby Grumman F8F Bearcat

1. Unlike many pasts Park Flyer warbirds such as Park Zone era you have a fully completed FUSE without the removable COWLING and being a ONE PIECE FUSE, the attached Cowling is made of FOAM. The following observations you will see the Gator Skin effect and if its...Continue Reading

Guys!

Fell in Love once more with my Park Zone F4U Corsair!

Replaced right Wing Aileron Servo (had the Jitters in Neutral) and I didn't want to take any chances. Since I had to dig in to get that Wing Servo then, I took off old packing tape from the entire Wing Assembly underneath since I went back to the STOCK Park Zone 480 Brushless motor.

Took the Canopy to Lowe's Home Improvement (Waterford Lakes) and there the nice guy at the paints matched up the paint to exact perfections!

Used the Cowling and main Gear assembly from the Horizon Hobby Corsair with Safe (model that parts came from).

EDIT: The paint was Latex base and here's additional information:

Okay, a few pictures!

Took out offending Aileron Wing Servo plus all the old packing tape underneath the wing and fixed a hair ling crack on the trailing edge of wing assembly!

Guys,

I purchased my beloved Park Zone F4U Corsair on September 2nd, 2008!
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=246

That's a whopping 8 years and my model is still flying and most importantly satisfying to fly! It has perhaps a few hundred flights on those wings. A few years ago I switched from the STOCK PZ 480 BL motor to the Model Motors AXI-2820/10 with 1,100 Kv. With this AXI Motor the wings almost flexed to the point that the model would have crashed at the first turn. After using some strong packing tape the Wing is incredibly strong.

Fast forward to today, I acquired a few parts from the Horizon Hobby Corsair about one year ago and I have finally come around to perform a FACE LIFT to my old and tired Park Zone F4U Corsair.

Parts came from someone that had:

1. Upgraded the Fixed Main Gear & Wheels set with the newer HH F4U.
2. Upgraded the Cowling from the HH F4U.
3. Work Still to be done is Paint and Decals.

Okay, a few pictures!

The way I had it for a while and the AXI was just too much on this airframe!
