This was a mixed weekend. We had decent slope lift on the East side. But it was up and down, not very consistent. We did have the luck of having two of the three Goodyear blimps flying out of Pompano Air Center. It seems like whatever direction we looked, there was a blimp in the view.
Also, some quick notes.
---Larry S is the hospital, with a serious condition.
----Next weekend many of us are going to the Tangerine Soaring Championships in Ocala, so no blog entry next week..
----Also, the following Saturday, we have been authorized for extra hours. Instead of 2pm we have access till 5pm!

I wasn't able to make it up this past weekend. I heard the conditions were great in the morning (20+mph winds) and there was good sized group. Unfortunately, everyone was rained out by noon.

I had high hopes for this weekend. The wind gods did not cooperate. Wind was out of the SW, which is a bad side. Plus it was more thermal wind than slope. We all ended up tired, hot and dusty by days end.
