We had 10mph winds out of the East. You would have thought it was 25mph. Without strong winds for over a month the guys were desperate for some slopin' and we had a good sized crowd. On the down side we had a couple good showers pass through and also one our members had a flat. The last shower of the day shut us down early at 1:25pm, so we headed to the PeachTree.

A normal mid summer South Florida day. Hot again, with just the barest of breezes. Temps approaching mid 90's. I was on call and didn't get up about 12:15pm (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). I barely had enough time to take my camera out before it was time to leave. Most of the flying was winching, especially since we have a contest in Ocala in about 3 weeks and the experience is much needed.

Our first weekend back from Oregon, made us regret coming back. Temperatures were in in the mid 90's and windless. Felt like 105! We spent lots of quality time under our tests.

Our last full day in Oregon. We took DJ to the airport early in the AM. It was just the three of us left. Tom went mountain biking with Gorgeflyer while Mike and I slept in. We eventually met up at Twin peaks for lunch. By then the winds were really rippin'. Lumber didn't look to be a good “angle”, so we left for Rowena\Mccall. Mccall preserve was so unstable (huge ups and downs) that we opted for Klickitat. Surprisingly, Klickitat was “lightish”, with only 10mph winds. Trees joined up with us, and we flew Weasels and combat wings until dusk. We closed out the day with a authentic Mexican dinner at Taquiero's in “upper” Hood River.
