Hello RC Groups! This is my first build log and I'm excited to share the project with you. This is based off of the EndOfDays 'budget' setup which he used to fly for 109 mins, which is a must read if you're planning on building a long endurance multirotor system. I've made some functionality upgrades and want to achieve only 90 mins with HD FPV.

Also, I'm very open to any suggestions as I've only been into RC flying since 2013. I plan to upgrade and try new things as I find out about them. I would like to see autonomous flight, bigger props and package delivery eventually, but for now lets fly for a super long time!

This is my build list:

Naza M V2 - $300
Turnigy 16 pole 390KV brushless motors - $120
12A SimonK ESCs - $48
18"x 5.5 props from Foxtech - $40
Range Video 24,400mah battery - $250
Carbon Fiber 1x1 plate- $75
CF 12mm tubing - $20
CNC tubing clamps - $30

Total : just under $900 with some wire, etc. I plan on ditching the Naza once I know the aerodynamics are working well with the body and configuration for an Eagle Tree Vector. If you wanted to go even cheaper though, you could save $450 by going for something like a KK board or MultiWii, building your own LiIon battery, and cutting your own props.

(I started this project last January, so bare with me while I finally get this logged)

So once I got everything in, I decided to start by cutting out a full-scale cardboard prototype...
