A new addition to my fleet is a T-rex from Align. This helicopter was bought and built by a member here on RCG! It started life as a DFC, and later was converted to the L or Long Blade version. It has the Long Blades, Tarot carbon skids, and a HK battery with low flights. The seller was very considerate to me and tightened up all of the crucial components before shipping it.
My plans are to grab a pitch gauge, AR7200BX, canopy mounts, and canopy.
The only real work it needs is a rear skid mount. One of the strut screw holes has its threads stripped so it will need replacing.
The bird looks really cool and will be a nice step up from my MCPX. Pictures of both will be below (and my blue iPhone for size), thanks for looking!

So I went and got myself a DX7s! My DX6i is great but it got to the point where I couldn't program planes. They were too complicated requiring dual elevator and dual ailerons. Along with various wing mixes for 3D. I want to start off with a huge thanks to Blakez! He has provided me with 2 transmitters for great deals! Once again thanks go check him out! Wow! I love it! It is a huge step up from the old 6i. My favorite part is the SD card now I can backup all my models and have as many as I want! It fits in my case perfectly so there is no need to buy a new one (phew)!! I like the vibration feature it will help to not annoy other flyers when a timer goes off and beep forever. The only thing that could be improved is the separate menus. Pressing both buttons then when you select the model having the ability to change the name and stuff. I think that should be included with the other settings. I see why Spektrum did it, those features are less used, but I think would be nice for those to be included.

I had a free weekend so I decided to make this! It is made from dollar tree foam, and hot glue. I like it, its fun to drop the whiffle balls on stuff.
It is also a fun new way to play fetch with your dog!

I got this couple of months ago and I have almost finished it!!
It was new from 2003.
It has a .95 OS AX, Hitec Hi-Torque servos, AR6210 receiver, and a HUGE fuel tank.
The Os gives a really nice sound, now that I propped it down I will have to be careful
when I give it full throttle. It has a whirr like a heli since it gets so much rpm now.

I had a good day going to my field yesterday. I took the Fish ,Dazzler, and Novus CP. I returned with one of my buddies planes he left, and a plane that was left and gutted for electronics. It looked like a Ultimate Biplane that had its wing taken off and was lying next to it. It looked like it could handle a .60 size engine! Since my Uncle was with us he wanted to take it and work on it. I would have done the same. There are 2 videos one got cutoff at the bottom of the page.

Happy New Year to everyone! I have been working on one of my friends boats. He burned up the esc, and knowing the servos in the boat are junk I replaced it with a Hextronik 9g. The esc is 30A and off branded from SeaKing but was purchased through HK. I have not test ran the boat but will soon! The Tantrum has nearly been finished. I need to sand the cowl and a few stringer ends, along with cutting the canopy plastic. I flew the Fish on Thursday, the plane has had many flights and belly landings. This caused a weakening nose structure. I added two popsicle sticks, then flew a little more. It then came loose again, therefore I added about ten more. No tests done on that since. I received my extra chargers and batteries for my Nano QX. I do not have pictures of that. I use an IPhone wall - usb adapter that connects to a usb expander, then to three chargers to charge my five batteries.

Today I began building my first kit given to me by a close friend. It is great fun! It is a laser cut kit from mid 2003. I love building it and have finished the wings, ailerons, elevator, and rudder.

One of my close friends gave me a Blade NQX for Christmas. It is a great quad! It is the most stable, and fastest quad I have ever flown.
Here is a short video.

I found this new transmitter case that one of our fellow rcg'ers stumbled upon it is a gun case, and decided to use it as a tx case. I like it, the middle slab of foam has small squares that are cut-able but will stay if needed. I like it and do recommend it. Can share link to it if requested.

Today I flew the maiden of Dazzler at last. Well my buddy took it up trimmed it and brought it back down. I then refueled it and made two further flights after that. My fleet for the day was the Dazzler, and the Fish (foamie). It was a good day at the field and I hope to fly it some more! My blog has the rest of the story on this plane.

I decided to run my Dazzler on my own today (with a little help from dad). It was a little humid outside, but it was still ok. A few cranks over and it started right up, at a nice idle. Letting it warm up a bit I then taxied it around my driveway for about 10 minutes. Clearing it out by holding the plane and giving it some gas. Check out my blog page for the restoration.

I was given a Dazzler .40 from a very generous man. He got it from a guy that had a house fire and was getting rid of most of his stuff. "I was later in the day to pick up the plane." When he arrived there were few planes left. "This was definitely one of the better ones." It came with some misc. parts, a starter, scraps of balsa, fuel tanks, and a hand pump. The plane came with an engine on it (.40) and one in the boxes (.46). I got home and began cleaning it. That took three nights easy to clean it! It did look good with a little help from dad and the some tooth brushes. I used Dawn Power cleaner on the motors and they cleaned up well. The plane sits as you see the pictures. I will be going to see that unnamed man soon to run the motors and tighten up the covering.
some of you may know want to know that I am 14. I mostly fly electric foamies that are 3D.
Update to project 10/26/13: I have finished putting gear on I accomplished this with nylon nuts and bolts. If I nose it in they will break and I will be in good shape. The motors from the fire turned out to be useless. I went to see my friend a few days ago and gave me a Magnum XL .40 that he had. "If I had known that it was there I wouldn't have it right now so it is yours!" I was completely ecstatic. He told me to mount it and we would go tune it on his back porch. At this moment it sits in my basement ready to fly. I added a rx and battery installed the previous fuel tank, ran tubing, and recovered the nose due to tearing. I couldn't have done it with out him! Notice: Color is diffrent due to a better camera. The orangeish color is more accurate.
