I am not even trying to make a excuse for jumping into this other than i want to. been wanting one for myself for sometime so when the oppurtunity came i jumped on it. Said no new builds until I finished what was in build

My friend asked if i would put it together for him , all i have to do is copy it to have my own.
Several of the parts are cut out and i made tracings of all parts for future use, even had the reracts recommended on the plans(Spring air).

These will be the second and third build of this bird, I put one together for my son several years ago. It flew real nice and had a very nice presents in the air especially head on with the gear up. I have pics. but can't find them. meanwhile I am going to enjoy this.

Well I have been collecting a bunch of motors from swap meets and my main man has given me a 71" slick from 3d hobbies.

last weekend I picked up two 5000 mah lipos, a 80 watt charger and another motor, a Turnigy g60 500kv. that I will install in the slick but I need a 80 to 100 amp esc.

So i will do my electric stuff in this thread .....As it is rather new to me.

this is fuselage number two! #1 was too battered to continue, anyway I could not find enough pieces for a good rebuild. Remember...always tighten your wing bolts.

I am not sure I want to put all the painting into the finish I had in the original, We'll see!

It's back on the build table after far too many years of hanging from the ceiling.

I had to store it in my van and then the garage where it got knocked over and fractured up pretty bad, so when I got my shop enlargement to a point where I could do some work I commenced repairs but that just got me going again. I'll go upstairs and take a picture or two.........Hmmmmmm I put some pictures in but I can't find em!

This has Robart retracts [email protected] SACHS 4.3. nope! decided on a Quadra 75 it fits better.......gun bays.....wing tip and landing lights ......sliding canopy.......and some other stuff I can't think of right now.

Still working on this, will start sanding tonight. The engine is unused sachs 4.2
the plans call for a 3.4? Pardon my junky shop.

covering- Super Coverite in the open areas, silkspan over balsa surfaces, nitrate dope base, currently using Rustoleum primer Over all the fiberglassed blue foam areas. the gear legs are covered with aircraft grade alum. left over from a Jim Bede project. control system is pull pull ELEV. @ rudder all servos are in.
I am a little emotional about it, my friend commissioned it, then Passed away right after I got it assembled. It really isn't my type of bird but it has grown on me. I want to return to my f14 build.

It's about six feet long, twin turbine, (Wren 54's) still in design stage this is the prototype. I actually had the first fuselage cut out in cardboard by a very patient friend, he did good! a cardboard mockup was the cheap way to prove what i was trying to do. success is sooooooo sweeeeet the fuse can be assembled pretty quick on supports. now that I have it out of a four year mothball.
