Its been a while since the last blog entry.

I've moved from Helis to fying fixed wing for doing AP. To be extremely honest, I've always thought airplanes are much better for doing photography compared to helis.
And with the availability of technology in the likes of autopilots, return to home, waypoint control, heading hold (not with gyro!) etc., even more reason to use fixed wings.
My current altitude record is about 650 feet. I'm improving the fuse design before attempting 1000 feet (and beyond). I've also moved from 10 to 12 inch props.
If everything goes well, the new fuse will fly today. Wish myself good luck.

That said, there are some photographic shots that are just impossible to do with fixed wing aircraft. So my helis are still staying with me. They are, however, collecting dust at this moment.

Until next time.

Invested another 150 dollars of my (albeit not so hard earned) money.

Bought a semi-symmetrical SWE 680mm blade from Helidirect just under an hour ago.
Now I feel guilty as I have a son and wife waiting at home who have no idea about the amount I pay for this 'hobby'. Damn it.

I better get some AP jobs soon, or I'll have to sell off some of my gear. Now THAT would be interestingly painful.

Damn it.
