Way back in 1990, I saw the film "Flight of the Intruder" which featured scenes with Douglas Skyraiders (Sandy) and they were a thing of beauty. More than a year ago I contacted Horizon Hobby and suggested they do a 480 or Power 10 sized version of the A-1 Skyraider to go along with their T-28, F4U, P-51, etc. but I never heard back, so when I saw this 1100mm A-1, my wish came true! Thank you Durafly!

Needless to say, I pulled the trigger faster than a sharp shooter and I'm soooo glad I did! This is an FMS 1100mm Skyraider marketed under the Durafly brand name exclusive to Hobby King. Why do I say that? Well...I own too many FMS models and this Durafly Skyraider is exactly like every FMS model I own, even down to the font on the labels on the wires. Like many of the FMS products, this Skyraider does not disappoint. Assembly is straight forward and easy. The detail is awesome and the ordinance and tanks can be removed.

I airbrushed exhaust stains on the fuselage, repainted the props and wheel collars and it really gave the model realism. I fly mine on a 11.1v 25C 2200 mAh battery and needed no trim adjustments which was surprising....in a good way! I have 7 flights on it as of yesterday and I love it. I'd like to see this model in the USAF SEA Camo scheme, so I may have to break out the airbrush!

This one is a keeper!

Several weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to fly this Stinson Reliant SR-10 and really enjoyed it. Though it's only been on the market two years, I recently discovered that the PnP version of the Parkzone Stinson Reliant had been discontinued from Horizon Hobby. Fortunately, I found one in a local hobby shop and had to get one! I added a 9 gram servo for the flaps and painted the prop silver and all hardware white. I'm flying it on a 11.1 2200mAh and love it. Get it while you still can!
