Well now,
2013 slope Fest is only 11 weeks away ,and I almost have everything in place for the event . I'm trying something extra this year with a small balsa build of vintage free flight gliders converted to RC. This is an attempt to draw fathers and sons( or daughters) into building rather than buy, bind and fly mindset that has taken over the hobby these days . I know I've heard the excuses ,I have no time to build ,its cheaper to buy it ready to go etc,etc. No excuse if you can sit in front of a computer and type on a forum or the kids spend time playing games on the Ipad or whatever surely a hour or so could be diverted to a build and bond session rather than a buy and bind session . Anyway the events shaping up to be another great get together of a broad range of pilots from every form of the hobby. Looking forward to it greatly

Well that was a fantastic trip ,had a blast and everyone was just so friendly I couldn't believe it . The Boomerang did very well and actually took first place in the prop aircraft division ,a very difficult division to win I'm told anyway I did and have the trophy to prove it
