A pictorial view of the foam airplanes I have built over the last several years. Looking back I can see the simplistic flatboard builds at the start progressing into the more complex builds of present. Some of the airplanes do not exist anymore but are not forgotten. The lessons learned of what works and what didn't... More to come... More to learn! How many more will come off of the build table this year? Who knows? Stay tuned...

A replacement for my F22 that did not survive it's last flight, the plans for the X-41 came along at the right time as I had some spare parts and foam. It was a easy build thanks to LetsFlyRC... http://flitetest.com/authors/droplow77 who redesigned the plane from T3chdad on the RC Groups forums into a Flite Test type design. Here is the link to his plans... http://flitetest.com/articles/let-s-...ild-free-plans I still need to do the maiden flight but where I live is not conducive to flying RC airplanes at this time due to the snow and winds... The build was straight forward using the Flite Test A/B type folds. LetsFlyRC used a quick motor mount like the type on the Versa Wing to mount the motor but I only had one of the plywood mounts from a power pod available so I glued it on to the fuselage after extending it a bit and squaring up the end. He has the Canards on his but I think I'll leave mine off as it looks cleaner to me. I will entertain the canards at a later date with a slide in pod using two separate servos to control the canards. I added a carbon fiber spar to my wing as I know how I fly and with the Grayson Hobbies Super Mega Jet motor turning a APC 7x5 prop I do not need the wings flopping around. Looking forward to flying this one... The design should be fast! Stay tuned... Mudman1959
