Thinking of getting yourselves a new computer? Looking for a GOOD DEAL?
Well, most of the Good Deals in Windows clothing come with WINDOWS-8 preloaded. Nothing wrong with it just be prepared to get into some uncharted territory as it is totally different look and feel.
I purchased an HP 110-194 Desk Top PC with the following:
- 3rd Generation Intel Core i3-3220T Processor
- 8.0 Giga-Byte DDR3 System Memory
- 1.0 Tera-Byte Hard Drive
- Super Multi DVD Burner
- HP 7-in-one Media Card Reader
- Intel HD Graphics 2000
- NO IT DID NOT COME WITH A Wi-Fi internal PCI Card!
The very first you have to do (Highly Recommended) is to connect the Computer to an active Live and working Internet connection such as a Hard Wired type.
Do NOT try and connect any Wi-Fi USB Adpater!
Why? Because it will crash the computer, over and over again!
The very first thing you need to do "is" allow the computer to Download the UPDATES for WINDOWS-8, period! Then, I would register with Microsoft to allow for access to the STORE and download (FREE), WINDOWS-8.1
It took about a full hour and a half to load everything from taking it out of the box and up to including the creation of the RECOVERY DRIVE and in this OS, it calls for a USB JUMP DRIVE with at least 16-GB. I used a 32-GB for good measure.
