Gals and Guys,
I had to get something new and most especially FUN so, my buddy was selling his Mariposa (means Butterfly in Spanish) and I quickly made the trip to his house and picked this fine looking model.
The Covering is just fantastic and no re-ironing was needed even after one hour travel back to my house.
Got it setup with a 6-Channel Orange Receiver with the dual antenna version. These are the ONLY Receivers that are resistant to an ugly pluse / interference that exists at my RC Club. I have larger models with this these receivers and they are ROCK Solid.
The smallest battery that I would DARE fly it is my Admiral, 3-Cell, 2200mAH, 35C discharge Lithium Polymers and depending on my Maiden. The real motor that shines in this model is the E-Flite 480 (910Kv) and it is a crying shame that I was not able to install it due to it's really tight conditions. I could not find a typical E-Flite 480 motor X-Mount to compare with the one that came with the model (Detrum Replacement Brushless Motor - BM2815A-KV1100).
Surprisingly the X-Mount from the Detrum worked on the E-FLITE 480, however, you just COULD NOT get any screws back there because the E-FLITE 480 rotation cylinder is tapered outward and no mater what you do, its just a waste of time.
Wednesday super early morning to make an attempt to fly was perfect indeed. I used the GWS Slow Flyer 10 X 4.7 propeller and it shine all around.
