This is another Great Micro Warbird from Eachine and well worth the money in my opinion.
It is a bit Nose Heavy out of the box but .75g of Tail Weight and it balances perfectly.
I think this Plane is a bit faster than the P51D and not quite as stable due to the Gull Wings.
It has a very Wide Flight Envelope but flying too slow will cause a Wing to Dip.
I like the weight of the 1S 360mah LIPO rather than the 1S 400mah LIPO in this Plane.
I need a bit more Elevator and Rudder Movement so I'll adjust the Linkage and Test it out again.
Part 4 of this Review will be Testing the Adjustments and then I'll state my Conclusion on this Warbird ;-)

This Horus X10/OpenTX widget is based on my Taranis flight-time logger, written to work under OpenTX 2.3.9 on the FrSky Horus X10/X10s as a full-size widget.

The widget keeps track of the number of flights and flight time on individual models. The logging data is stored in GVARs and therefore will remain intact as long as the GVARs 8 & 9 (on all flight modes) are not changed. The logger data can be backed up along with the model setup using companion.

When used with a variometer flights are automatically counted when the aircraft is above a specified height above the ground for specified length of time. The flight ends and the flight time calculated when the aircraft drops below that same height for another specified length of time. Alternatively a toggle switch can be used to manually start and stop flights (ie: a toggle used for normal flight-timers).

Requirements:
  • Originally written for use with OpenTX 2.3.9 on a FrSky Horus X10/X10s - it may work on other platforms but has not been tested.
  • v1.x is intended to be used only as a full-size widget with trims visible, running it in a smaller window may not work.
  • For fully automatic operation the script relies on telemetry data from a variometer (VARI-N, VARI-H, or G-RX6, G-RX8, etc) with the sensor's altitude reset before takeoff. In some situations the sensor calibration may cause it to immediately show very high readings at power-up, if that happens the telemetry should be reset immediately or false flight

Yep Les Amis,

Gavin 6C Programming Tutorial (38 min 41 sec)

GAVIN-6C is a 2.4GHz 6-channel transmitter applicable for airplane, helicopter and multi-copter. Using low power devices leads to longer battery life. Support four stick modes to meet different operating habits. Support Trainer and Fail Safe functions which provide security for users. GAVIN-6C could provide the USB upgrade function and be used to set the programmable item of the flight controller for airplane.

MSR66A is a mini 6-channel 2.4GHz receiver integrated with 6-axis gyro and suitable for normal wing, fly-wing, and V-tail airplanes. It provides four different flight modes: Gyro off, Normal, Aerobatic, and Auto-Recovery (Auto Balance) and can be programmable from the matched transmitter.

All using the DSSS&FHSS dual spread spectrum technology, will enhance the transmitter by increasing the anti-interference performance and transmission distance, even can controlled normally in city center, do not worry about the strong interference from high voltage lines, signal towers, city WiFi, etc.

Don't worry wind weather , receiver ABS system keep your flying safe!

Not too sure if this is where I notify any and everyone that I am looking for a Great Planes Giant 82 inch wing span Super Sportster, or any part of it. fuselage, landing gear, rudder, elevator etc. I would like to find one new in the box but like I say I will take just a fuselage or any part of it....

Great Planes does not make this airplane any more. I am kind of new to the procedures on RC Groups.com and reading the side panel really doesn't explain it any better as well..... Thanks to all that can help me . email is [email protected]

This blog will describe the build of an own design electric powered Vickers Viscount - the world's first turboprop airliner. This will be my fifth OD model, earlier ones being a Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer, Armstrong Whitworth Argosy, Piaggio 136 amphibian and most recently a Beechcraft King Air B200. Build logs are on this Group for the Piaggio and the King Air.

Specification for the model are:

Scale 1:12.6
Winspan 2266 mm (7 ft 5in)
Target Flying Weight less than 7 Kg
Fuselage Length 2070 mm (6ft 9 in)
Tailplane Span 850 mm (2 ft 10in)
Fuselage Diameter 262 mm (10 5/16 in)
Height (ground to top of fin) 653 mm
Nacelles - removable to fit flight batteries. Each will contain a 3S or 4S 2200 lipo, ESC, motor and safety link.
Motors - four brushless outrunners to produce at least 260W per motor for 80W/Lb . Ideally 4-blade propellers with squared-off tips.
Radio - 9 Channel Multiplex M-Link
Fowler flaps
OD retracts
Lighting system
3-piece removable wing
2-piece removable tailplane
auto connection of wiring and controls on assembly
British Airways colour scheme

Thanks go to :

Alexander B's thread containing research for a larger Viscount model. This has been dormant for several years and as far as I am aware has fallen prey to other commitments.

The Vickers Viscount Network run by Viscount enthusiasts with a large archive of material

Nick Stroud for his excellent book 'The Vickers Viscount' and published by Frontline Books.

At the present time, draft fuselage drawings are nearing completion, draft nacelle drawings are completed, as are the OD front retracts. Main retracts are still at the head scratching stage. The main build effort is expected to begin in the autumn and extend into the spring of next year.

Come along for the ride, and feel free to chip in with your advice or queries along the way.
