I'll be giving a lecture on the history of soaring in southern California at March Field Air Museum on April 19, 2017 at 7pm. The lecture is free, open to the public, and will focus largely on gliding in San Diego. (I can only cram so much stuff into 1 hour). Hope to see you there! I will also try to have some books available for purchase after the lecture. For more information visit www.marchfield.org.

My latest soaring book has just been released by Arcadia Publishing - a photo history book of the Torrey Pines Gliderport. The book covers everything from the earliest glider flights in the region to more modern aspects including RC soaring. Did you know that the first 8 hour RC slope flight in the world was made at Torrey Pines? Learn more in the new book...
