Well I pulled the Got Rock's FunCub out of the back bedroom (where she's been ever since the crash) and it looks like I could just order a new fuselage and graft on the section from the wing leading edge forward.
Of course my nose section was highly modified and I'll have to do those mods again, but it's entirely doable! This time I can incorporate GLM's stiffener and firewall mount sets as well as the TACON BIGFOOT10 I just picked up! (Maybe I should have picked up the 15)?
I ordered a Flyzone DHC-2 Beaver (should be here next week) and was just about ready to pull the trigger on a 'new' FunCub when the new Dynam DH.82 Tiger Moth showed up on my radar (been wanting a 'Tiggy' forever)! This prompted the evaluation of my current FunCub and I guess I'll be posting my D&L Designs 1/6 scale de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth 'short kit', an ElectriFly DeHavilland Tiger Moth ARF (NIB - just been looked at a lot), and a E-Flite Nieuport 17 250 ARF (NIB) for sale - I'll probably just take them to my next club meeting the first Friday in March to see if anyone's interested, so if anyone
here is interested just PM me for info!
If you ever thought it would be neat to have custom markings on your aircraft but thought it would be too expensive, check out -
http://callie-graphics.com/ - I ordered (and received) two sets of markings from her, first a full set for the Flyzone Beaver (can't have it looking like every other one out there now can we) and a set of Alaska State Trooper markings for my 1/4 scale Super Cub! In both cases I was thrilled with the price, service, and quality! Two thumbs up Callie - you're awesome!
