I'm using a 14x6 wooden prop on my Saito .91 four-stroke. I'm trying to fit a spinner on it, but I find sites with all sizes. How can I find a spinner that fits.

I just finished watching a video on making landing gear doors. It occurs to me that there must be a better way. Does anybody know if there is a company that makes a retract WITH doors as a BOLT-IN unit?

What is the best way to ease into jets. Could I alter the airfoil to slow it down, or start by flying pattern style planes?

I have a Cub covered in a simulated silk. Will I be able to get this airborne or will the drag be too much?

I'm planning on using a Saito four-stroke on my Carl Goldberg Cub. The engine uses a pressure fitting on its muffler. Can I use normal fuel line on this hot muffler .connection?

Has anybody used VP racing fuel in the quart size can? When I first opened the can I was surprised to find a seal oiunder the lid. Thinking this was normal, I soon realized this must be kept in place There is a small fuel-hose-sized mark in the center of this seal, which could be used for drilling through, apparently for putting a fuel line in. Is this all greek, or does someone know anything about this feature of the quart container of VP fuels.

Now that I've got this 4-stroke set up, I'd like to get it started. I could flip it by hand, but I still have a starter from my earlier days. I requires a 12V power source. Any reason I couldn't use one of my many other lipos?

I went to mount a prop on that beast, but found the shaft was too big for the hole in the prop. So I reamed it out twice, but it is still too small. It's getting almost too thin at the hub. Is this typical for this engine? I may have to bore out a wooden prop. The End.

I took a gamble and put drops of the stuff in every orifice in that 4-stroke, and voila, I got movement and compression! Thanks to all who offered help and suggestions.

I just realized that I didn't mention that this motor has been in the original box and NEVER STARTED. Did this change any suggestions? I hope it's not rust...!

I have a Saito 4-stroke engine that has been stored away for about ten years. It seems very reluctant to turn over by twisting the prop nut. Is this normal for four cycles?

I have a very old Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk kit. Since I got back in the hobby electric has taken over. It calls for either a .45-.60 2 cycle or a ,60 to .90 four-cycle. What electric motor would fit nicely in these ranges? Thanks, George,

I was trying to change up my battery connectors but was having trouble getting a good joint, and kept trying by cutting the leads shorter and shorter. I realized that a couple of inches was too short and had to discontinue the mess I was making. The battery package was discoloring, probably from excess heat
Is there any hope for this unfortunate component?

I may be imagining this, but it seems that I once saw a connector pair that could be separated one from the other. This seems like it would make it easier to insert the soldered bullets, then re-join the two. Any idea?

It all started when I realized that I needed female connections on my battery, Long story short , after I kept bungling the solder job, then cutting off the leads and trying again and again, I finally had to give up and pack it away. Expensive lesson. Can you say "choked". I'm definitely going to EC-5 type pairs in the future. More room. I shied way from Deans for that reason

I have a Graupner battery charger that checks the individual cells as it charges a battery. So, it has a cable that can accept the plug from all manner of batteries, regardless of size. This raises my dumb question. Is there any special way to plug that cable into that cable inputs (either to one side or the other if the cell cable has less number than the charger )?

My gear goes back to the AM days for use with my nitro planes. I stepped up to FM after a 10-year hiatus. These have a variety of transmission methods. I was told they all are actually FM (72mhz). Will they mix and match between each other? I assume the 2.4 stuff is a totally different animal. Thanks, George.

I use Futaba gear. There are are all variety of receivers and servos. Assuming that the Tx and Rx match, can I use any servo with any receiver? George

I am (obviously) a newbee to electric power. My latest quandary involves how to connect an ESC to a Futaba FM 7-channel receiver. Thanks.

I'm trying to find a big wing trainer that I saw in a magazine many years ago. It was available in a smaller version too. Lots of dihedral and could take off with the Tx on the ground!
