Well this is one of those things most of us just dream about. However at my young age of 25 i may not ever get this chance again. You see there is an aviation museum being built here in vincennes. I will be working on a WWII C-47 transport plane tomorrow, if we can. I wish we would have worked on it today. but who knows what the weather will do. But anyway here are a few teasers i took today.

Well i was able to finish up covering the plane tonight. Need to put all the gear in the fuse, mount the engine and gas tank, fix and cover struts and do final adjustments. i think it will be a very nice plane. Hopefully will get to fly with my dad this fathers day weekend although they are calling for rain. Finger's crossed.

Well no real progress yet been trying to move. I did build a new work table for the new room. measures 6 foot by 30 inches with a foam sheet top. Should make things nice and easy. I will be getting a new plane one of the Pheonix Models Sukhoi SU-31 .46 size. Will be powered by my trusty magnum 70. Im pulling everything out of the mustang. Its a nice plane but just too many problems with the wing. Will be building a new wing this winter. trying to get the citabria finished hopefully will fly it in two weeks. But for now nothing much to show. Itching to fly again.

Well i got to thinking about it today and i have not posted any pics of my other love. Customizing and restoring cars is my other passion. Right now i only have two projects. LOL yeah only two. First is one i am doing with my father its a 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Originally had a 3.8 V6 auto we are putting a 350/ 350 auto combo in it. I built the engine this last semester nothing special 2 barrel should give about 200 hp. The other project is my daily driver the ranger. The other comments talk about the truck.

Well the citabria fuselage is done all i need to do now is buy some sheet lexan to do the windows. Covering is my weakness. But if i had more i would have redone it but money is tight so it has to stay. Maybe later i will fix it.

Well hello again. I did go flying last weekend it was alot of fun as always. The mustangs pesky retracts struck again. They would not retract so i left them in the down position. Upon landing theleft side decided to try and leave the aircraft doing yet again significant damage to the wing. I picked up the citabria and began recovering it. Got most of the fuselage recovered a little unsure on the colors but im plugging through anyway. Other than the mustang it was a very successful weekend. Went flying friday afternoon and saturday for a good portion of the day. I will say my dads super stick 60 with an O.S. 91 four stroke has to be one of my favorite planes to fly. it will do almost everything you ask of it. Dad also brought his new Pheonix models dolphin and it is a very good plane to fly as well. Old K&B 40 flies it great. Hope everyone is ok with the weather that came through this week. It has been a very crazy spring. Happy flying.

Hello gang it has been a year since my last post. Several things have changed in this year and mostly for the good. To start things off my Cub and twist are no more. My Yak which my brother gave me has been traded back to him for his 27% Giles 202 with a 26cc gasser. I now am flying a top flite 40 size p-51 which has the magnum 70 from the twist. I own a few new planes i have a protender 40, great planes flatouts extra 300, 30 size citabria, and a small electric cub. I still have the zero and the blue angel not much progress has been made. The biggest reason for not doing much with rc is i have returned to college. I am attending vincennes university for automotive technology. Lastly i got a new vehicle. I got rid of my silver cavalier and now own a very nice ford ranger. Tomorrow i will be flying the mustang and several of dads planes. I will get some pictures and post them later this weekend. Keep the wheels right side down, and happy flying.

Well flying season is fully upon us now. I destroyed my twist last week and got most of the radio gear in the yak. I had a friend make a spacer for my muffler and have yet to re start the mds. I can't wait to finish my blue angel or my royal zero. I guess the cub should come first i need it ready for the cub fly in about a month. Oh well ill have something ready for next weekend. Until then, happy flying.

I found out today that the long time vice president of my flying club passed away. He fought very hard for 18 months against brain cancer. Please pray for his family. He was the kindest man I know. Remembered everyones names every time he saw us through his cancer. He was a very dedicated man to our club and especially his family. He will be greatly missed.

Well so far no planes except my trusty trainer are flying yet. The stuka is about 50% done and nothing else has been touched. April 1 is my new deadline to have everything done. Gives me some wiggle room to make sure everything is perfect. Hopefully will get some serious progress made in the next few days.

Well yet again today the reason i joined this site was proven. The people here at rcgroups are some of the most friendly and helpful people in this hobby. I really enjoy being able to share my airplanes without ridicule. Every once and a while you meet amazing people. I hope one day to return the favor that one gentleman did for me. It was small but so helpful. Thanks again rcgroups for representing our hobby in the highest form.

This stuka kit is taking me back to when i built old comet kits. My first model airplane was a comet cub. I built a few rubber planes then went to control line but these kits never get easier. In fact i think they get harder to build the more experienced you get because you want everything perfect and when something doesnt look right you change it to make it right. Oh well thats the way it is for all kit builders. I do however prefer building kits than arfs but when space is at a premium or like me no workbench arfs just make it easier. But the kit skills are needed when you crash an arf. I almost always rebuild unless i have to buy new parts. Maybe i should stop crashing but that would mean stop flying. No its not that bad.

Well i'm not a new user but i figured its time to start a blog. My recent aircraft activity has been well disasterous. It started about a month ago i purchased a used 40 size super sportster and a new in box K&B 45. I finished the plane and broke in the engine. Well on the first flight of this "new" plane 3 minutes in the reciever crystal fell out. I know never happened to me before most of the guys at my club have only seen it a few times in their lives. So i helplessly watched it auger in about 3/4 throttle. Motor and radio gear is all that survived. Then one week later my 1/6 goldberg cub went into the corn after the motor coughed on a touch and go. I lost about 12 inches on the wingspan and did various other damage as well. Last week my trainer that i have had for two years now and flown quite hard finnally crashed it on a crosswind landing, that was 20mph, flipped it right as it touched down. So as of right now all planes in my hanger are damaged. but the cub and trainer are getting repaired and a new scratch built plane will be replacing the sportster. Currently i am building a guillows giant stuka for electric. So in the next few weeks i hope to have everything flying again.
