For this article, I have to go all the way back to the beginning. It all started for me with a YouTube video of some guys flying quads through a forest. Having flown RC for nearly 20 years, I knew I had to try this fpv quad racing thing.
Thus my love hate relationship was born with my first quad - the Eachine 250 Racer.
I struggled to advance quickly with that machine. When I would crash it, I would break it. It lacked power and tuning was frustrating and difficult. My 2nd quad showed just how far the original 250 Racer was from a racer.
Enter the all new 250 PRO.
First Impressions
Just simply comparing side by side, the new pro version has definitely been changed quite a bit. These changes include: new frame design, new motors, new ESC's, new arm material and design, less weight, tiltable camera, smaller tail light, completely different power board and a different flight controller.
Setup
The machine comes built and ready for a receiver. But, because you ave to add the receiver it means you must connect to cleanflight. As you will see in my video below, that was not easy. Thanks to FryeSG I was able to flash betaflight to the f3 flight controller by changing the baud rate. (See my video) Everything else was straight forward.
