the heptavian: it was built to replace my 75% heptad. purpose of the plane is for fpv av and uav testing. id like to consider it a prototype and a very moduler design. its my first design using minimal plans. initial plan idea was an easy build box fuse made using dollar tree foam. length of the main section is 30". the wing is also of my design and is a kfm3 60".

inspired by powers heptad https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ghlight=heptad , ezstar gliders and springers numerous osx builds https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...1391606&page=3

it uses 2 servos rel. also features a moduler nose that can easily be swapped out for a larger battery or video type. not finished but past first phases of flight testing and crashes.

built over about the past 3 weeks. worked my fingers til raw but building bug keeps on biting.

on board video showing rx loosing reception at what I would guestimate at over 500 - 600 ' away. could be much more, you be the judge.

see 2:50 where the rx is lost. The esc starts chiming about 5 seconds later indcating that there is no signal. luckly signal was regained and I was able to recover. i didn't realize this happened until i reviewed the video. very interested in hearing your thoughts.
