These little wings fly amazingly well ..
I have to say I am surprised ..
Just needed more power ..

Still tending to pull up , so more trimming needed .

Flies nice , turns nice , glides nice .
Weighs less than a box of tissues and is not overly expensive .
Battery was not fully charged , so flight is a little shorter .

Did my first solo on Aug 10th thanks to Dave and Bob, two out of town flyers who happened to be at my field and where nice enough to give me some pointers. Dave co piloted with me for a few flights after Ben, our local "trainer" let me take the club trainer up the previous weekend.

After I had Dan take up the plane and trim it out, I landed it after I few it under his supervision. The first sideways bounce began to tear apart the undercarriage. Did modifications using 1/8 music wire to replace front strut utilizing the front float mount slot and a coat hanger to provide back support attached to the rear float mount. Used wire and solder to attach front of coat hanger to front struts and then used nitro fuel tubing to act as shock absorber between front struts.

My first task is to practice touch and go's so I can get over being so paranoid of landing, particularly in the wind. Most of my flying has been in 10 mph with a Timber 1.5m foamy arf.

- Cartwheel (Minor slow speed) - disoriented as to where the end of the runway was making a N. bound approach, plane does a cartwheel before the end of the runway due to stalling about 3-4' off the ground.
Repairs - Landing gear had to be straightened.

Analysis - better to land smoothly in the grass off the field than to push getting onto the runway, better for the plane and my nerves. New gear holding up well.

Based on a glider airframe, the Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet was a German rocket-powered interceptor aircraft. Designed by Alexander Lippisch, it is the only rocket-powered fighter aircraft ever to have been operational and the first piloted aircraft of any type to exceed 1000 km/h (621 mph) in level flight.

Over 300 Komets were built, but the aircraft proved lacklustre as an interceptor it only destroyed between 9 and 18 Allied aircraft against 10 losses. Aside from combat losses many pilots were killed during testing and training (Wikipedia).

To reduce weight, a pair of front wheels were attached to a dolly that would be ejected after takeoff. Once the Komet had run out of rocket fuel after the attack, it would glide back to base at high speed and land on a skid.

Flaps were introduced on the production model (B) in an attempt to reduce speed prior to touchdown.

The Phoenix version is based on a SketchUp model that seems no longer available.

Hi everybody Im new here and hope Im doing this right, Im looking for some help on finding the instructions and plans for a Top Flite P-51B yellow box, if anyone has a copy of this they would like to sale or make a copy to sale I would really appreciate it, bought a kit off of eBay to find out its missing these crucial items, can anybody tell me how this kit flies, any heads up that will make any improvements, thanks for your time. I suggest reading a small review about the SWR meter and spectrum analyzer with generator, interesting and not expensive "Arinst" devices, for working in FPV. Here, the forum engine did not allow placing open pictures inside the text, so I made a publication on another fpv-community forum.

JJRC H31 Quad MOD Part2 - Beecore BetaFlight Setup!

I have wanted to perform this MOD for quite a while on my JJRC H31 Quad but higher priorities pushed it back.
I wanted to a have a Toy-Grade Quad to fly around the property when time doesn't allow for packing everything up and heading to my Flying Area.
Tiny Whoops are a blast indoors but not that great outdoors.
I chose this Quad because it can handle light wind outdoors and it's very durable.
Those of you that have watched my videos Piloting RC Aircraft know that durability is a must for me ;-)

In this video I will show you the changes I've made in the BetaFlight Configuration and a composite of two Test Flights I performed with this setup.
This should give you a good starting point in BetaFlight and then Tune to your flying style.

Part 3 will show an FPV Flight once the FPV Camera is installed.
