I finished up one of the first 2.4 friendly Freestylers yesterday. The inner nose section is made with a Diolen fabric. It's black and looks like carbon at a glance but is RF transparent.

Assembly is by the book. Nothing different and the model went together extremely well.
I used 6 Sanwa 94761Z servos and the controls are very tight. I installed a AR7000 RX and remote in the rx bay aft of the 4 cell (3 up 1 forward) 1500mah 2/3A battery. I also tucked in a SMP9540 Flight logger. So far with 6 flights no holds and a few short flights with 000 fades. All the flights were on the slope so no edge of sight testing yet.

Update 3/22/09: Went out with the F3B team for some speed practice. First real range check of the model. No issues flying to the edge of my vision. No holds recorded in 10 separate flights on the data logger.

I just returned from a 2 week trip to the Czech Republic and also a weekend F3F race in Germany the German F3F Nationals. Below are some shots.
Some notes about European Travel. 1. get a GPS. I bought a Tomtom 910 and it was worth 4x the cost on this trip alone! 2, If your going to drive in Germany or drive for more than 1500KM get a car with a diesel engine. You will pay more for the rental but it will pay for itself on the cost of fuel and the higher speeds you can drive. Do it!...Continue Reading

Hi Guys,
I am in France for the La Madeleine F3F and a F3F contest in Denmark. So far the trip is great I am working in Aeromods shop to help finish some models I will bring home.
the race at La Madeleine was rained out so no racing but plenty of good times anyway. When you plan a trip to race slope overseas its best to have a Holiday and enjoy the people you are with and if a race happened to break out all the better!

Here are some first shots of the new Herrig Designed
Freestyler3 rtf is 1900g! (thats 68oz guys!) And F3B strong!! In the USA at www.f3x.com exclusively!
