When I assembled my EZFly kit last year, I also cut out a $tree version with a KFm-3 wing. The original is still going strong but I decided to load up the $tree version with leds. It's a lot heavier than the EPP plane but still flies fairly well.

Having loaded down my first CrazyBall with a heavy coat of paint, I decided to build a 'lite' version using dollar tree foam. Didn't notice any difference in flight. So I loaded it up with leds. It was great fun messing with neighbors and passerbys. That is, until it met it's ultimate demise after an encounter with a tree (caught on video).

After browsing the forums for a good trainer, I decided to go with motorhead's EzyFly Trainer. It was a great choice. Very easy to fly. I quickly learned the basics and gained a lot of confidence.

Many years ago when I was a kid, I bought a Cox Sportavia as my first remote-control airplane. I never got the little .049 gas engine to run well enough to learn to fly it. Subsequently, I lost interest and in the closet it went where it stayed for years (still have it!).
Decades later, I decided it was time to try r/c flying again. After browsing the forums here, I was intrigued by the CrazyBall EPP plane. Ordered one, put it together and off I go thinking it would be a breeze to fly. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case. After a couple of crashes, I decided to get a trainer to learn the basics. Below are pics of my first Crazyball.
