I have not be no here in a bit because I have been working on new some new projects after I finished the Enterprise-A Iincedently have not flown it yet as the power system I had vor it is inadaquite for the aircraft)
I will EDIT this blog as I work on more projects So stop by periodically to see what I am working on ad leave your comments

Thanks Dave

Project (1) The Simple Plane is basicly designed like a paper airplane with
dual motors using Asymmetrical thrust. Now ready for the electronics

will be ready for maiden soon

My progress on this creation at: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1746350#post22987037

Project (2) I have an idea of making a dragon shaped full fuselage aircraft with a kite like wing ( making it look like the main dragon ( toothless) from how to train your dragon and hiccup riding him) the aircraft would be powered like a vector kite.
My progress on this creation at: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1740834

Project (3) I have an interesting idea tomake a foam jet with hovering capabilityit not shure how it will work but in the crude design stages now , I have designed mine between the avengers movie and the green lantern movie.

While waiting for enough capital (being on a limited income ) to complete my Star Trek Enterprise-A project and the weather to have the correct wind velocity under 3 miles and hour ( as we are in our monsoon season high winds and rain ). To keep my mind on the project I started to make some movies of my Enterprise, one with it being in a space dock and a few others showing my progress all the way to the mostly completed project except for the clear coat to protect the graphics, and the clear stabilizing flaps attached to the back of the nacelle pylons.
As I have said before I Do things differently then others and having a background in the media arts this is my way of showing my fantasy of being in command of a Star Ship as her Captain this is a close as I can making that fantasy half way of coming true through my R C ENTERPRISE-A thanks to my friends on the group for their support.

Now I am waiting to totally finish the ship and have the correct weather conditions to fly her on its maiden flight ( I hope this comes soon and flys as good as she looks) not perfect but good

As I stated before I do things differently as I was in the Media for years then as a Technician for many yeas after that. Now being Disabled I have to do things even more differently and slowly then ever, along with having limited income. I still have the need to promote my work with movies that help show what I have accomplished with help from my family.
I want to show how close my first rendering of my project to the mostly finished project except the stabilizers and clear coat on it.
The will have a movie showing my Enterprise-A project in space dock inspected by a shuttle pod ( which will be up shortly )

The Picture below shows how close my first rendering of my Enterprise-A to the completed model is

Any and all comments welcomed

To test out the actual design I made a rough skeleton which is made of cardboard saucer section 8 1/2 in diameter with a 3/4 in stiffener on the outer edge of the saucer, nacelles 11inches long and 1 inch wide the ship measures 20 inches in all. ( the actual skeleton will be made of art board Depron with a fileted depron approximately 1mm thick with a hardened paper skin)

With the ship I will be making two different saucer sections one with two motors and an elevator system and the other with one motor and and elevator and some type of rudder system to make it turn.
(I haven't figured the later one out yet)

With some experimentation I found out that the original Nacelle pillars caused Nacelles to be to to awkward and not supported enough to be stable.
I redesigned the pillars so they are wider at the top where they are connected to the bottom of the Nacelles and also where it connects bottom hull.
The Nacelles on my airship are hollow and have an up elevator in the air current inside of the Nacelles, which should give both less drag and more stabilization and up lift at the same time (at least in theory).
I have to do some more experimentation on this design I came up with.

Attached pictures show the redesigned pillars and how the effect the nacelles along with the new look of the nacelles.

I have started the Enterprise and showing what the finished project will look like using components from a Super Sonic R/C Glider Plane which uses duel motors to power the plane and to turn it utilizing one of the two motors to turn. The motors will be installed in the front half of the saucer section. (as shown on the rendering attached)
The first thing I did on this build was to rough out a skeleton template which i made out of cardboard to be able to get the dimensions correct so it can fit inside of the fileted depron skin. ( pictures attached are of the rough skeleton and skin and both together to make the lower hull)

I have been Looking at what most other people have done for flying Enterprises and in most cases for the most part are a 2D creation with a bottom and top protrusion to give it that 3D effect. I on the other hand think of a different way of thinking 3D should be (having depth on all sides of the ship) my Idea the skeleton will be made of Depron with fileted Depron covering with a paper and a clear coat skin, which should make it light but durable, while giving it a finished and authentic look as well.

Pictures of my concept coming very soon
